Please ensure your version of Wordpress is up to date.

Most of you are probably already up to date but for those that aren't, please make sure your version of Wordpress is up to date. The up to date and current version at the time of writing is 5.3.2.
The below information has been received from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) on December 13th 2019.
"Wordpress 5.3 and prior versions are affected by multiple vulnerabilities. An attacker could exploit some of these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected website."
Time to make sure you have the latest version.
You can update your version from the Wordpress Dashboard.

is there somewhere you can check that updating wordpress should not break your site.
is it better to update plugins and your themes before updating wordpress ot reduce compatability problems or doesn't it matter ?

do you recommend the use of auto updater plugins so your site plugins and wordpress is kept updated without you having to think about it.

Hi,
Not being a Wordpress Guru, I believe the theme you use will tell you if it is or isn't compatible with the latest version of Wordpress.
I guess, for me, security is important and hopefully WA will have site backups should it all go horribly wrong.
Can anyone else advise?
