How to Gain Momentum

If you haven't read my post from yesterday, Remember Why You're Here, I would recommend doing that first.

Before I wrote that post I was having some difficulty with sitting down and doing keyword research; not that it was difficult, but I couldn't "get in the mood". I had gone through one or two lessons prior to this and had been enjoying the process, but all of a sudden my joy had left me.

I was sitting there staring at my Jaaxy search results and I couldn't do it anymore. I didn't even feel like trying. I took a break, walked around, grabbed a beer and sat back down. I went back to my why. Why am I sitting here doing this?

I'm here to help people make the right decision when purchasing their next product, rank within the top three websites for my niche, and earn enough money to work from home and build more websites.

After realizing why I was building my website, I got curious. Are people in my niche being adequately served? I started doing research and discovered competing websites. I looked at their content and read comments from their pages. I got to see the type of people I would be helping and what sort of problems I would be solving!

My curiosity continued to grow. Which products were they using (searching for)? I went back to Jaaxy and used it because I wanted to, not because I had to. Then I did the next lesson and half of it was done because I had researched competitors.

If you find yourself stuck or you're unwilling to push yourself, remember why you're here. And get curious about your niche! Curiosity is an itch that needs to be scratched. Plus the more you know about your niche (competitors and audience) the better off you'll be.

Last thing: commit.

Grant Cardone once said, "I'd rather commit to the wrong thing all the way, than commit to the right thing halfway."

In other words, you're not going to know whether what you're doing will pan out or not. If you commit you'll find out, if you don't you may never know.

If you read this entire thing, thanks for taking the time to read it! I hope you pulled something of value from it!

Hi Rick I certainly did pull something of value from your article :-) From that I was able to write a significant amount of content for my WA review.
