How Information transforms Ignorance and Secrecy
In our endeavors here at WA, we know about our working ground, the Internet. Its existence is still young, somewhat more than 20 years....
The focal point and purpose of the Internet is to provide information and connectivity.
In the course of its development, every possible topic known to humankind has been explored, documented, researched and discussed.
Countless websites, blogs, portals, learning institutions, agencies, government departments, businesses, the news media, organizations, charities and societies contribute on a daily basis; a plethora of information, facts, stories, products and human experience...
It's inevitable, in the course of discussion and dialogue, that people and groups seek clarity on many questions, in an increasingly complex world.
Where we can still find things like injustice, criminality, unfairness, dishonesty, envirnomental harm, sexual abuse, etc., etc.
Since the appearance of the internet, however, methods of defence against hidden agendas, unethical shortcuts, cheating and taking unfair advantage of others have emerged.
Light is being shed...
If the niche of your website sometimes demands intense discussion or even controversy on a particular subject, you are at the forefront of information development.
Of a search for solutions.
Of Education.
Why?
When a consensus, or a partial one, is reached through discussion, a new standard is set, and this information spreads...
Sometimes, this happens on several fronts worldwide, while virtual space shrinks, and brings forth more dialogue and sharing.
Sometimes, this speeds up a change of laws or a streamlining of organizing structures, effecting the feasibility of actions.
It is, in my opinion, an advancement of civilization...
A chance for all to be well-informed, and able to state their individual presence ....
And stand for their rights in the modern world.

Wonderful post, Therese, it is quite amazing to think just how small this earth is becoming, how would the Ancient Greeks have looked at our world now,:-))

Think they might have reminded us to take enough time to ponder....
Think our way through more, instead of stressing too much.....
My pleasure and thanks for your visit.
I couldn't find your name, may I call you Amethyst Moon?
