You are absolutely right and in truth this is how the big boys earn their money, from Membership Sites.
The ones listed above, are good, ClickFunnels is in my opinion too expensive, given what WordPress and a few strategic plugins can do, or at least thats my experience of using both and reviewing that on my own blog
What is Surprising is that you have left Wealthy Affiliate Off the list.Not that I am saying WA is the absolute be all and end all, but in Membership site terms, then yes we are members of it and through our own sites can create our own WA membership sites.

I have found that World or of it just want you to upgrade to whatever is the next level up, period. They do however have a great library free to download.
The world of marketers selling marketing tools to other marketers to sell to other marketers to sell to other marketers is a house of cards.
Many of these models have been shut down for ponzi type reasons.
It is true that to earn good money with Worldprofit you would have to be at the Platinum Level which I was an followed the system daily for a year, solidly, earning commissions on a regular monthly basis
However when it came to my renewal, I discovered my commission only paid for the Silver Upgrade, so I transitioned here and stayed free associate with Worldprofit, but now follow the Traffic Hoopla rankings and have done for 18 years, because they have been good to me in terms of leads, credits and referrals, plus as a Pro member of course you earn recurring monthly income.
I left WA off for a reason. I wanted to see who might notice. 😊👍
The platforms that are “tools” like Aweber, GetResponce, etc in ok with.
But when the members of platforms become a plethora of marketers selling marketing to other marketers to sell to other marketers it gets incestual and scammy. Usually it the “training” type platforms. (Many of these are scammers and get shut down)
Some are just “fronts” for the creators personal agenda.
WA, thankfully has not become that. They have survived the test of time.
I would agree with your third paragraph definitely and that in the main a membership site is the way to go.

There’s a plethora of stuff out there. Just need to carefully choose.
