A $1000 Carrot Every 5th Sale
Is a $1000 bonus enough to incentivize a sales affiliate to make five sales?
In my event marketing business, we are offering a $1000 bonus for every fifth sale made. Commissions are $100 and $150, however on the fifth sale we are going to pay $1000.
With exhibit booth space priced at $497 and $697 this is a huge cut from our profits, but we think it will be worth it.
We are running this bonus offer through December 31, 2019
Do you think this is a good idea?

Is that a while that I am smart and it’s a good deal? Or is that a wild that I am stupid?
Why not start a bit smaller so you don't cut your profits too much? Like a $300 or $500 bonus instead? $1000 sounds really high to me.
It’s a momentum thing.
Our first Expo is in March 2020, and we need to get some foundation sales to get things moving.
We are gambling, that we will get some house sales from the momentum generated by these direct sales.

I'd do a little less, Brad, but I know what you're going after, so why not!

I’m glad you understand.
The reality is, if we break even on one expo, I have three others in the works.
It makes sense, Brad, we learned a little about those style of promotions which were designed to gain long term customers!
