Waiting for my ship to come in, but enjoying my tropical island in the meantime.

Another milestone. Two months in Wealthy Affiliate. I’m trying to write a post a day. I’m up to about 4 a week. What’s slowing me down is research. I want to ensure that what I am saying is accurate. I don’t want to be spreading misinformation. I think accuracy and honesty, credibility and integrity, are as important as prodigious output, probably more important in the long run. Luckily I enjoy research almost as much as I love writing.

So far I have 35 published articles. 22 of them have been indexed. I feel good about that. On the one hand, I know that 35 articles isn’t nearly enough. On the other hand, I’m pretty jazzed that I have created that many. I can no longer say, “I can’t do this.” Apparently, I can.

I also have 93 comments. I really enjoy the back-and-forth of commenting and replying. The articles become a conversation, a discussion. To me that is ideal. When someone asks a question, or says “thanks, that helps a lot,” or “I didn’t know that,” it really makes my day.

Okay, I admit it, I am also looking forward to generating some income. So far, I’m at $0.00 Discussion is stimulating. Praise is gratifying. But nothing validates like hard cash. It says that people trust me, that they value my advice.

So to return to my title metaphor, yes, I am waiting for my ship to come in. But while I wait I am really enjoying my life on this tropical island called Wealthy Affiliate.

And the natives are so friendly!
