how do you find a post that's been tagged if you can't remember what you originally tagged them as? Is there a way to see a list of the tagged or favorited posts?

Learn something new everyday. I did not even know we could star posts. Duh!

Oh THAAAAT star right at the very verytop next to the plane icon!! Brilliant!! Thank you everyone that helped!!!

follow the yellow star road, lol

Lol... I am following, I'm following!! hehe

That is another mystery solved - thanks. I knew how to make them favourite but did not know where to find them. Cool tip. Well done to you all again!

We were both in the same boat there... This community rocks!!

Now I know!

Snap

huh, I thought Kyle or Carson were behind that star, go figure

lol.

Another new tip for me, thanks for the tip.

Glad to have learned something with you today :)

You got the answer, my friend! Follow the yellow star. :)

Thanks Carla... And all the other STARS!!!

The star above Rohan

The one next to the blue box with the gear logo?

Yes, click on it and give it a tag name. I use the authors headline, but that's because I'm lazy lol. To find your favorites go to the search bar above the breadcrumbs line and click on the star on the right.

Thanks for the advice... I know how to add the tag it was the finding the posts that I was struggling with. lol... All solved and I have been educated... wooo hooo!!

You mean someone's post(s)? Click that blank star on top here (move your eyes to the blank box up here). It will turn yellow and a list of your bookmarked/favourited posts will show up as 'My Favorites'. Hope this is what you mean... :))

I have the same problem and i have tried but nothing comes up, it only lets you mark your favourite tag! But where do all your favourite tags end up? Doesn't tell you that.

That is what exactly what I mean thanks Jenn! I'm not getting a list though. Might be because I'm on my iPhone at the moment.

This community moves at Millionaire speed and I love it!! Not even a minute went by and already have an answer!

Hey Kays, Did you try on your pc or laptop? or on your tablet or phone? It should be a post that you have bookmarked (starred) as a favorite.

Cool!
Hmm... you don't want me to get there, Rohan. Muahahaha

I am far to curious not to ask. Why? Lol

that is the question. Where do they go? Lol. If you find out before me please do share ;)

Hmmm... hate to keep the secret. But I know an idea... wait for my next post... heeheeheehee

Oh you little...! Haha. That is so sneaky!! Not fair!! Haha

haha

Sorry for late reply, i am on ipad

Hey Kay, it works with my iPad. Just click the blank star up here, above the blue Facebook icon. It will turn yellow and you have to wait for the list of My Favorites to appear. It's all there!
Btw, I'm now both on iPad and MacBook. They both work.

Thank you Jenn... You helped out big time!!

And it works on iPhone as well... I just checked... Helps to go to look in the right place...lol

My pleasure, Rohan. Enjoy the STAR. :))

Will I still be able to log into the WP back office through WA ?

I changed mine, very early on, and now I have to log in under another user that I created.

Yes, but you will always have to input the password. In addition, often times WordPress will ask twice for the password as an extra precaution. I would not change it if it were not necessary.

I believe the training recommends not changing the WA log in, but create a new user with another name and log in under that. This is to keep your posts from being authored by "admin".

I change the user from admin to me. Then I need to remember how to get in through WP. LOL

lol... I have a feeling I'm going to have to remember as well while replacing the habit of logging in through WA.

Rohan you can always click on the link and log in through that. The blue button won't be of use to you when you log in with a different account than the admin account.

That is good to know! Did realise that route, thanks :)

If you change your admin password after building your site, this password and the "Log Me In" button will become invalid

I hope to remember not to panic when I forget and nothing happens when I click the log me in button... hehe

Ooops, one more point: Make your display name and your username different so no-one reading your posts will know what name you use to log in. ~Marion

Ooops... Too late!! .... Ok I'm just kidding :P lol. That is a really good point though that you bring up and one that I did not think of. Luckily it is all different :) Thanks!

No, you're on your own after you change it.

Thank you :)

No. Short and sweet. The log in through WA is set up with admin and a unique password. You can create a new user with a different name and password (make it strong) making sure that the new user has admin privileges. Log out and then log in using yourdomain.com/wp-admin and your new username and password.

Don't delete the admin username until you are sure you can access the Dashboard with your new username and you don't even have to delete it then.

When you use your new username to log in your posts and comments will have that name as the author. ~Marion

Hi - make sure you give your new login Administrator privileges - unless you intend keeping your current admin login.

Cheers, Mark

Thanks Mark. I forgot to mention that very important point.

Thanks for the reply. Changed the user and made sure I sufficient rights :) Thank you both!

Ended up deleting admin. Recently discovered it's something hackers etc look for so I'd rather take the precaution.

Thanks again for the help.

Is anyone else getting a lot of spam emails in their webmail account that is setup through Wealthy Affiliate ?

Yes. I am getting the same categories as Steveo5770. Seemed to coincide with my problem of emails not getting through because "the server has been blacklisted". I have a support ticket in for that but no updates for around a week. I'm definitely no expert on this but maybe the two are related. Seems interesting we are getting the same spam. If it were coming via the dodgy user registrations I often get (they never get to the confirm your subscription stage), surely they would be different to others

Yes and they flood in within different categories. For example, 1 week it's about ways to improve my SEO. This week, it's 18 year old lonely Russian girls wanting to chat.......lol

you know hammer I do not think I have ever looked at the email set up by WA I guess I will look and see all the best

Thanks, let me know what you find please :)

No not yet

I hope it stays that way for you as well ;)

No, plenty in my normal account though.

Mine is opposite way around... strange!

No. I get lots of spam in my regular emails, but not in the WA web mail.

That is quite interesting... What did you do?

I'm embarrassed to say nothing in either case. For some reason, some of my email addresses are spam magnets and others get next to nothing. Go figure.

My webmail account up a few days ago. So far didn't received any spam emails.

I hope it stays that way for you :)

I hope so :)

I'm not actually getting any email, except for the test message I stent myself. I don't know if this is helpful, but I tried to use the catchka plug in where you have to enter the code that you can never read into an empty field before submitting, and I couldn't get it to work.

Also, Eddy with a y suggested to me that I not have my email address in my site, but instead to use a contact form and thus avoid spam.

If you have your email address anywhere in your site the spammers pick it up. Hope it helps!

That does help a lot thank you! Thinking a contact form is the way for me to go. Thank you very much!

I would say about 70% of WA emails/notification goes into my spam and 30% goes into my inbox

What did you do in order to get them to go into your spam folder?

i didn't do anything at all. I have no idea why the majority of WA's notifications go into my spam mail. It's very weird.

For example, say you liked my comment and responded to a comment I am a part of...I would get 2 emails, but 1 would be in my inbox and the other would be in my spam.

That is rather weird... Going to have to have a closer look at my mailbox and see if there is something I might be missing.

Thanks for the reply!

I've had quite a few.

Is there anything you do to stop them?

So far I just delete.

If you hit block sender it goes to spam ... and they get blocked.

Clicking block a lot and not sure if it is working though. lol.

Hello awesome community... I have decided to stop pacing up and down in my lounge trying to start my professional profile I need to submit to the Maven business community direct

Lot of good tips here. i agree with most members: keep it short and sweet. Be yourself.

Be honest no BS and just look around from those who may be along the same line as you look for similarities between them all and add that extra to what you have over them. I am sure you can nail this.
Take care be well.
Andre

Why not reading a few of the profiles already there and get inspired from the ways of presenting that you like?

Please! just don't make it another sales pitch! :) We have enough time to do that on our websites.

To me, the longer it is the less interesting as what you have done in your life time my not even correlate to my interest. Or be anything relevant. The profile is probably a very important part of social networking and you are on the right track to make sure it is done the right way. Check some members here to see what you like. If you can find any. One thing I see members doing is going though a whole life story,,(crisis) and losing me after the first paragraph. Most people have their own problems enough to not be so interested in others situational dilemma's.
Make it positive.
Make it short.
Make it interesting.
Make it personable.

When I read a profile I want to get a little insight into the inner soul of the writer ... I want to know if I can TRUST them on a deeper level. Unless there is something that offers me a little glimpse inside ... the WORDS can just be that of any slick salesman.

If you are going to use it to link to in your websites, you want to greet like you are expecting new members to be showing up. I think cordial, polite, short...meaning don't bog them down with stories of the past, even if it is your past. A sentence of the past, and everything else directed to the future. Their future~!

Also remember to speak from your heart. Be real. Personally I relate more to the writer when they have open up and shared theirs deepest thoughts, dreams, and ambitions.

Just think about all the awesome things you have done in your life, what you have learn t and how you can help others with all your knowledge and experiences.

That's great advice, thanks Janet. Time to make a list ;)

Just say that you're awesome!!
Just kidding :)

When you write out the profile, pretend you're the reader too. What would you look for if you were reading a business profile?

I would want to know what you have to offer, your experience, and how you can help me. Most people really only want to know what's in it for them, so keep that in mind when writing.

Hope this helps a little :)

Thanks and that's brilliant Tonya... I love it!! Writing I am awesome as we speak... hehe...

Seriously thanks for your advice and the reminder about people wanting to know what's in it for them, that has made it much simpler and take pressure off, lol!

Tonya... You're awesome!! ;)

Thanks for the compliment :)
Glad I was able to help out!

Looking for some ideas on what to include to enhance welcome messages and some what not to do :)

Thanks in advance :)

was wondering the dame thing now really finding a template to give me and ideas did you finally find any templates

TheHammer, You are certainly welcome. Yes, please feel free to us it as you wish. Cindy

TheHammer, I read the person's profile and add my response. Here's the Welcome that I created:

Welcome to WA! Here you will learn information presented in a manageable way, apply your new knowledge by completing the tasks, and have fantastic community support.

Since I am also a newbie at affiliate marketing, I have found that I learn best in the following way:

I watch each video and read the lesson.
I log onto my website.
I then re-watch the video and pause it after each segment of new information.
I then apply this bit of new knowledge on my site.
I re-start the video and repeat the pause and apply process.

In this way, I learn by seeing, hearing, and hands on.

I also participate in discussions and ask questions. The community will respond. Everyone here wants you to understand the information and the process.

I recommend that you complete each lesson before moving to the next. The lessons are designed to build upon each other.

Cindy

That's great! Thank you for sharing that with me Cindy. Hope you don't mind if I use it for some inspiration?

Thank you Nick... I knew I had seen this somewhere, just couldn't remember where. Thanks for the help.
