The Most Powerful Investment?

What stops you from making the progress you seek, both personally and professionally?

The way you think and feel.

This is because the way you think and feel determines what you do with your time, and it is the use of your time that determines the progress and achievement you get to enjoy.

The greatest opportunity placed before us has always been time.

You and I here at WA have discovered that our time isn't valued enough by others to have them give us the life we want. We have realized that we have to work to be recognized and rewarded. We have chosen to use our time in ways others will not because,...we don't want to live an average life.

We know time is important, but do we truly utilize it?

Do we use it to our advantage or do we use it to get by?

I suppose I have considered the concept of time management before, but recently in my studies I have come across a quote that helped me gain some clarity on the subject.

Rory Vaden said;
“Give yourself the emotional permission to invest time into things today that create more time tomorrow.”

(Sounds like the desired mindset of WA members, and the outlook we have as we work to build our online businesses.)

This quote really struck me.

Especially the emotional permission part.

In our modern world there is so many distractions we are confronted with. (In My opinion there is more of a conspiracy to this than most are willing to consider.) With so many enticing distractions, the fear of missing out or “FOMO” is a mental and emotional threat to self discipline and time management. So giving yourself emotional permission to invest time totally makes sense. You have to be willing to do it, and you have to emotionally accept and be at peace with the sacrifice involved (whatever it may be).

I am constantly going through the mental battle of self analysis, in the effort make the most of my time.

Time management is never easy.

Especially when sometimes you may not be able to fully control your time.

If you for any reason are not in full control of your time, then start by working toward doing what you can with the time that is yours to control.

We always have to remember that time is be invested as much as possible, rather than used.

There is a difference.

When you invest your time, you do things that will save you time in the future.

When you use time you do things with time with no or little possibility of ever getting that time back.

It is easy to think about investing money to get more time, but do we spend enough time thinking of the possibilities of investing time to get more time?

Although not a perfect practitioner, I know time management to be important.

I see that the investment of time is very important.

My Mentor has taught me this, and I have seen the benefits.

The efforts to exercise self discipline and manage and invest our time are challenging, but the more we work on it the easier it will become.

If we are relentless, surely we can develop habits and rituals, along with patterns of thought that will cause the personal investment of time to become natural and instinctive.

May we give ourselves the permission to invest time into things today that create more time tomorrow.

Sure it won’t be easy, but nothing worth it ever was. We have to remember to take things one paw at the time, to be determined, and not give up.

Just think of the possibilities…

Thanks for the post Evan, I found it a great reminder of how I've never utilised my time to it's maximum and it's now something i'm actively working on.

I need to keep pushing forward and using my time to better mine and my family's life. Thank you for the guiding light.

Tommy

Thanks. No doubt time management is something everyone is always working on. (I don't care what they say, no one is perfect at it.) You an me both. Power to you in all your efforts. Remember to not get overwhelmed. Take things one paw at a time. I look forward to hearing from you on how you are doing.

The post is motivational, encouraging, and inciting. Time is of the essence, the importance of time as it relates to success cannot be overemphasized, in fact, the amount of time we invest determines the level of our success in life, there is no doubt about it take it or leave it. Thank you very much for sharing, God bless WA community.

There seem to be very many posts here on motivation and time management. Tvhings many people take for granted are new to some I guess.

Keep going, you are on the right track.

I don't quite know how to take that comment. The best way to learn and remember information is to share it with others. What's truly important will always be important to everyone.

If some tell you they already know something, you can be sure they have closed their mind to further understanding of that subject.

Thanks, I think.

One the best posts I've read!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks Evan. Well said. It is relevant to life in general, not just business. Very thoughtful. Have a great day!
