The Danger Zone !

In business and in life, the danger zone is our comfort zone. This is because within it nothing changes. Constants are cherished, protected, and defended.
The comfort zone traps and defeats the masses day in and day out.

It's all about average.

The hardest people to deal with are always those who are married to average, who love to be comfortable, and despise change. Sometimes these people are the people we work for and work with. Sometimes they're our friends and family, and sometimes...it's us.

Comfort and self absorption stand in conflict with connection and self sacrifice. This mental danger zone has the power the affect every aspect of life. When we feel like taking the easy way out, and doing the bare minimum we need to realize that true success only comes after we face challenges, and personal growth.

Accomplishments, and relationships can only be achieved
when we do more, not less.
There are no short cuts. No one can be content with life, they most keep moving forward or they will die.

If fish stopped swimming they'd die!!!
They can't breath without moving. The same goes for you and me, and the rest of the world. We can't mentally stop moving forward and expect to maintain success.

The dreaded enemy of the comfort zone is change, learning, and the expansion of the mind. We all know that these things are important, but because of the challenges they invite into our lives we can struggle with taking the steps, taking action, and learning and doing more.

It's natural to find discomfort in change. It's natural to choose that which is easiest. We don't need to beat ourselves up for struggling with the danger zone, we just need to face the facts, and make the changes.

If we are trapped working for people and with people that love their comfort zone more than they love the bottom line, you might want to walk away before that business falls crushing everyone within.

Always remember to be afraid of average.
Confront it, resist it, and defy it.
Never give into it.

Take things one paw at a time, and learn. Grow, change, and become.
Don't waste time avoiding what you need most.
You deserve better, have the self respect to push yourself.

The Average would never dream of doing this, the average driver would never attempt this. But you're not average...#dream big #determined #learn

ps. Always remember to take things one paw at a time.

As always Evan, you make us take a good long hard look at ourselves and cause us to stop and ponder. You have a great gift for writing and I thank you again for the inspiration :)

Jude,
Thanks so much, what a compliment!

I am very grateful that yourself and others are benefiting from my blog posts. Sometimes I doubt myself in making them, as I usually spend no more than half an hour preparing them. Writing is usually the fastest part, and preparing the visual stimuli the longest. I can doubt myself because I throw things together so quickly. I have in the past worried about have a perfectly polished finished product, but have decided to listen to everyone saying you don't need to be perfect to have good content.

I have had different people throughout my life tell me that I have gift for writing and a way with words, and I've always been grateful for the compliments, because admittedly it can be hard to see my potential at times. We all have our moments...

It is so important to stop and ponder, this helps us all learn and grow. I think that I really have enjoyed the process of creating these blogs because I realize that I can connect with people through my writing. This concept until recently seemed to be out of reach.

Thanks for your kind comment.
All the best to you my friend.

You need to believe in yourself - you DO have a great gift, enjoy! :)

This is encouraging and inspiring, the most constant are Change, we can't run away from it in the course of lives. We should come to the realization that with change comes success and failure it all depend on how we handle it when it comes. Am struggling to be above average, thanks, you have given me a sense of belonging, God bless you.

Peter! It's so glad to hear that my blogs are helping you. Finding a sense of belonging is a big deal, and If I can have anything to do with that, I feel blessed. You can be above average, it all starts in your head my friend. God bless you.
