It's Your fault.

We live in a world where change is often so uncomfortable that we have an easier time coming up with excuses then shifting our prospective and our focus.

Many people naturally insist that their problems are out of there control.

They blame this that and the other thing, all in an effort to subconsciously justify their actions.

When truth be told they have had the power all along to change their undesirable circumstances, yet have chosen not to take action.

I recently watched an interview with;
Millionaire Larry Winget.

You can watch the interview at;
http://eventualmillionaire.com/larry-winget/

He had a lot of great insights. The concepts he share were simple yet powerful.

Here are some excerpts from what he shared int the interview;

…”People love to say ‘No, I want it to be better. I want that.’ Well what are you doing about it? If you’re not actively doing something about it then you’re satisfied with it and if you’re satisfied with it then suck it up and live with the results.”

…”motivational idiots out there who are telling people they can have it all and you can’t have it all, you’re going to have to choose, and people don’t like to choose.”…

“The problem is that people don’t like to hurt very much so they figure out a way to live in mediocrity.”

“If you really want to make money the best way to do it is to assess how much value you’re bringing to the marketplace. Money is in direct proportion to service, to value. If you’re broke, you’re not providing much service.”

“You’ll get it done if it is important enough for you to get it done.”

“If you have commitments and you build your life on honesty, integrity and doing the right thing you don’t get stuck in blame, you don’t wallow in it, you don’t let anger get in your way, you don’t let your ego get in the way – you do what it takes to do the right thing, regardless.”

…”You want to know how to get to be a millionaire? You give up all of the things that are keeping you from being a millionaire. How do you get rich? You give up what’s making you broke. How do you get healthy? You give up the stuff that’s making you unhealthy. How do you get happy? You give up what’s making you unhappy. How do you get skinny? You give up what’s making you fat. I talk about sacrifice and true success comes from sacrifice and that is an ugly word in today’s society because people don’t want to give up anything – they don’t want sacrifice anything.”

These excerpts provide a great overview of the things he had to say.
I found what he said to be very insightful. He is very direct and blunt with everything he has to share, and I can appreciate that.

I totally get the fact that if we are not successful, then it’s our own fault and we have no one else to blame.

I can totally see that if things aren’t important to us then you best believe we aren’t going to put much effort into doing them.

What I thought was really powerful was his thoughts on personal commitment, honesty, and integrity.

Of course we all want to be true to our commitments, be honest, and live our lives with integrity, but are we falling short?

We have to be committed to what we want to do and accomplish to truly take action, to make sacrifices, and to do what others simply are not willing to do.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

I for one, am not perfect, and now have a better understanding of things I need to work on.

As much as we all want to be successful we need to always remember that our greatest work will be shaping ourselves, who we are, how we think, and what we do.
As we develop self mastery we will in time find ourselves living a life that before remained out of reach.

As with everything, always remember to take things one paw at a time. Don’t get overwhelmed or beat yourself up, just pick yourself up and keep moving. Never give up!

Great blog Evan, on inspiration & motivation and the quote is so true, I like the last paragraph of the blog Some thing to work on. Thanks for sharing. And Larry Winget has move a lot of people with is powerful speeches.

Glad you enjoyed the post. Thanks for your comment, and adding to the conversation.

I completely agree that anything worth doing is worth doing well. It takes commitment to fulfill your goals, but it isn't really a sacrifice if you enjoy what your doing. That I believe is the key. Thank you for the inspiration and motivation to keep my focus on the things I do want, and to keep moving forward even if its at a slow and steady pace.

Thank you for the inspiration all the best Max

Thoughtful! :)

Glad you enjoyed it. :)
