Can you BEAR the morning?

Grizzly habits lead to a grizzly life.

One habit of a true grizzly is going to bed and waking up early.

An important Grizzly Habit is; going to bed early, and getting up early.

My Grizzly Mentor has taught me the importance of being an early riser.

Have you ever gotten up early and enjoyed it?

Do you enjoy peace and quiet?

Is having time to think important to you?

Do you find it challenging to get everything done in a day?

Do you struggle with self-worth or depression?

If you don't already I invite you to try going to bed early, and getting up early.

This can be a challenge,

but the benefits far outweigh the sacrifice.

The benefits include but are not limited to; better grades, a more productive day, ability to anticipate problems, better ability to plan and set goals, easier to exercise and stay in shape, you'll sleep better, an optimistic attitude, better commutes, quiet time at home / work, more quality time with family and friends, a reduction of stress and better management of emotions, and an easier time developing a healthier diet.

What are you willing to do to live the life you have always dreamed of?

Would you be willing to utilize the early hours of the morning?

Do you like totally legal head starts?

You may not be a morning person now, but with all the benefits you might just want to try it out.

You'll need to have an honest desire to try it out, and a plan for what to do once your feet hit the floor.

As you make an effort to go to bed earlier you will have an easier time getting up earlier, of course that probably goes without saying. Sleep is super-duper important no one can seriously say that sleep is optional for them, or that they don't really think that it matters. Becoming an early riser starts with an effort to improve your sleep. Be sure that you feel comfortable and relaxed within your bed, and that your bedroom is both quiet and dark. To assist with improving your sleep one might invest in a new mattress, bedding, pillow, sleep mask, or ear plugs.

Your ability to wake early in the morning is greatly improved when you have a preset plan for what you can do with the new found hours of your day. If you don't feel like you have anything worth doing then the snooze button will get a workout before you ever do. Having a plan will help fuel your determination to free yourself from your covers and seize the day.

Although you may need an alarm, nobody ever said you needed to have it set right beside your head as you sleep.

Have you ever been guilty of hitting the snooze button before you were even fully conscience?

Have you ever slept in because you turned off your alarm in your sleep?

Your alarm is meant to be a tool to help you achieve your goals, if you aren't getting up on time you can't blame it on your alarm. After all it's simply following its programming. To best use your alarm you might try setting it out of reach of your bed, so you have no choice but to get up out of bed to turn it off. Your efforts to shut off your alarm will help you overcome the grasp of mattress and covers and present you the opportunity to start your day.

Have you ever gotten out of bed only to return moments later?

How do you stay out of your bed?

One might try going to the bathroom right away, and doing some stretches. The key to staying out of bed all comes down to waking up. You can feel groggy and heavy in the morning, but this sluggish state can be beaten by making the simple efforts to move. Movement helps to wake your body and mind. (It's been suggested that going outside really helps.)

Once up follow the plan you made for these first few hours of your day. Form new habits, and enjoy the opportunity that comes with more time in your day.

To find success chances are you will have to do things that you have never or seldom done.

It is always in the small and simple things that great things are accomplished.

The true Grizzly wants more than anything to get the most out of life. They want to live life to the fullest, becoming their best self and realizing their potential. They realize that to become the Grizzly they desire to be that they will need to make sacrifices and changes in their lives.

Going to bed early and getting up early under just about any circumstance seems to be a great sacrifice, but in time as one enjoys the benefits they might just treasure the early morning hours rather than resent them.

As I make efforts to reform my night owl sleeping habits my life is literally changing. I feel better. I am more optimistic, I have a clearer mind, I don't feel as much stress any more, and I get more done. I love getting up early, and so can you.

I invite you to put this Grizzly habit to the test and see what you think.

What are your thoughts on getting up early?

Do you have a morning routine?

Or do you love your pillow and blanket more than success and accomplishment?

Let me know what you think below.

As always I thank you and appreciate your taking the time to read my blog post, and look forward to your comments and feedback.

Hi Griz,
I normally get up at 4:30 AM. That gives me enough time to workout, get thru my emails and work on WA! I hit the road running at 7 AM. By 9 PM, I'm in dreamland!!

Thanks for sharing. That's solid! Power to you. Have you always been a morning person or has it come with time? Have you seen a mental difference?

Pretty much a morning person until I got married but over time my work schedule made it necessary to enable it again! Yes, there is a clarity that helps me get thru the day!

Super! Thanks for Sharing! Way to be!

Hey Griz,
I started about 90 days ago bed by 10 up by 5 AM. I've been with people at 8 or 9am, there wanting breakfast and I'm ready for a lunch. I had breakfast 3 to 4 hrs. ago. LOl

Have a good night..............

Thanks for sharing! I love getting up early. Some days can be harder than others, but it is always worth it! All the best!

I am naturally an 'evening person', yet I have to discipline myself to go to bed early and be out of bed at 5:00am. This is because it takes me nearly 1.5 hours to get to work (2 buses). I like to open the library for students at 7:30am. Of course, at the weekend I sleep in until 8:30 or 9:00. However, I completely agree with what you say. Great stuff!

Thanks for your feedback.
