Bearly feeling up to it? What do you do when you start to feel sick?
Sick day?
Yesterday afternoon I began to feel as though I was developing a sore throat. I was instantly worried because I know it's not instant fix situation. One can only pray and hope that the viral infection will leave before you lose most of your sanity.
The frustration continued when I awoke this morning. My throat felt worse and now my joints were feeling achy, and I now had a mild headache.
When you are Bearly Feeling up to it, or are feeling sick what do you do?
Do you ignore the fact that you are showing symptoms that suggest that you should slow down, rest, and make sure your getting enough fluids?
Do you go to work / do everything you'd normally do anyways?
Or do you instantly give in and begin to allow your body to combat your illness and heal asap?
When I was in school, and for the most part while I had a regular job this is what always happened when I got sick:
The problem is not that I pretty much work for myself that sick days mean that I can't make progress on my business that can be more frustrating than spoiling my prefect attendance.
I have although come to realize that it is better to take time to rest and recover when you're feeling under the weather because if you don't the time it will take to recover will be greater than it needs to be.
What's your take on being sick?
What's your approach to sick days, and or determining your
going to take a sick day?

I had a chest infection just before Christmas and am only just getting over it now and I think that's because I didn't stop. I have a lot on with other family members being ill and neglected to take care of myself. It's especially important to slow down and rest so that you can continue - I wish I had!
I totally agree with you, like you know though sometimes slowing down and finding the time and the will to rest can be hard. Thanks for sharing I wish you all the best.

I've never been able to "power" thru an illness like some who claim they can. There is only one thing I can do and that is stop., stay home and drink water, homemade soup and do as little as possible. Which is probably what you should be doing. Hopefully you can and I wish you a quick recovery!
Thanks for your input. Turns out I ended up leaving town on business. It all worked out in the end though. I'm starting to feel better. I totally agree with you though when it comes to being sure you get the rest and slower pace you need to allow your body to recover.
All the best to you as well.

Take massive vitamin C, some Zinc and "Oregano Oil" to combat bacteria. Get some sleep to let the system recover. Oh, don't forget the Hot Chicken Soup!
Remember prevention is the best medicine so keep yourself healthy to begin with.
Feel better!
I like your approach, I've always been a firm believer in Vitamin C. Way to confront your sickness naturally! Thanks for sharing. I'm feeling better now, but not yet fully outta the woods. Thanks.

Sleep is big big big deal. Thanks for joining the conversation today. It is always important to be sure we do what we can to treat ourselves the way we need to be treated to vanquish our sickness.
All the best to you this week.

Being a Mother is a Divine and Noble calling that is the most important thing you will ever do. I is always going to be hard because it is always about sacrifice. Mom's sacrifice a lot for their families, even their health. Moms sick days are definitely above average.
Thanks for sharing your voice, All the best you.

Thanks for joining the conversation, just to be sure I understand what you are saying, you take a sick day and let it run its course, or just live through it going none stop with life?
lol. I know, some days are harder to bear than others. Even though I am feeling sick, I still made it into the office. I didn't feel like giving up. Sure I got to the office later than usual, but progress is better than no progress at all.
Thanks for the warm encouragement.
All the best to you Mark.

A year ago I did as I used to do, kept on fighting my work days through, even if I felt sick.....booom.....I got really sick and was away from work for 5 weeks. And it took me severals weeks after that before I was able to recover 100%.
So now, when I feel sick, I stay home from work and take the opportunity to work on my business instead, from bed :)
Thanks for sharing. Moral of the story is, we aren't superhuman so we need to take care of our bodies. When we feel sick we have to find a slower pace, rest, etc. Sounds like a valuable life lesson. All the best to you.
