good day everyone just wondering what people are using for their graphic design software and getting some ideas on what I should invest in thank you for your time
I would suggest getting a business subscription to the Adobe cloud. Depending on your needs you have a plethora of design software at your fingertips. They also offer some training courses for beginners. I have been using Adobe for almost 15 years now and I will never change the platform. For images Photoshop is best and Illustrator is best for logos because it is vector (math-based).
Hi Sanford,
I see you are looking for software specifically for designing T-shirts. You might want to try SonicShack or Fat Paint. Both are free. You can also try T Shirt Factory Deluxe which cost $29.95. Hope this helps.

Hi Sanford - Canva is great for beginners and it's free to use, so no investment. All the best.
I've been using Adobe Elements and Photoshop CC for about 20 years, but it's probably more program than most people need. Photoshop CC is monthly subscription program, it runs about $120 a year.
I've been comparing Photoshop to Affinity (https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/) to see if it does everything I need it to do at a greatly reduced price, one time $50.
If you're looking for a great Free program I strongly suggest you take a look at Pixlr. Here's a blog I wrote about it way back when. Who Needs A Good FREE Image Editing Program?
It all depends on what you are going to design.
For simple logo design and image editing for web I use getpaint.net
If you design for print you should get something that can produce vector graphics.
My partners and I have started a t shirt design business and we need better design software to go forward.
Then you most likely need something vector based.
However, on Spreadshirt you can use optimized pixel based graphics.

I see the box in the SEO area and I wonder if I should be using it. I am not an advanced user by any means but if it will help create more traffic I am all for learning it. Is
No, leave it alone. The title of your post/page should be the url. Just make sure your your main keyword/keyword phrase is in the title.
John
Thanks John, I understand that leave it alone. If I don't know what it is don't touch it. But what is it and why is there if we should just leave it alone?
Well, you could overwrite the default URL. Some folks do it if they choose a title that does NOT include their keyword, or if they like to shorten the URL for whatever reason.
I've done that on 2 occasions to see if it makes any difference if i 'sneak' another keyword phrase in the URL. I ranked on page one with the title, but when I searched for the URL my post didn't show up at all. So, I went back in, changed the URL.
John
Okay, now that makes sense. But it is preferable to just change the title and then edit the permalink instead. Sorry for the confusion about it, I just kept seeing that every time I would work on SEO and it just bother me that I didn't know what it was.
Thanks for taking the time to explain it to me.

I have heard from many that they use videos from YouTube and others make their own. Would like to hear from people here what they think about which is better. I lean towards m
A word of caution regarding youtube channels ... resist the temptation to buy video views... Youtube will close your channel at a whim and paid views are worthless anyway. Youtube videos are great for generating traffic.
I've used video in lots of different forms over the years and depending on what you want to achieve the sky is the limit. I've recently started using http://wistia.com (not sure if they have an afiliate program) for professional video hosting. It's cool for in-video programming, you can insert call to action buttons, in-video sign up forms and even redirect to your landing page at the end of your video. I'll be creating some video tutorials on this soon. Cheers!
I make my own videos then upload them to YouTube. Then I can embed my videos on my website. After you upload your video you can add 'call to action' overlays (annotations) to your video. See How to Add Call to Action Annotations to Your YouTube Videos If you want to see some of my videos then go to my channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCql5HMLeW6BRp8ytYXGuHpw ~Marion
You tube as you know is owned by Google. And Google loves videos. So I would say do your own 3 to 5 minutes videos with your smart phone and up-load then to you tube but make them short and have a call to action in tex form or voice to lead them to your site
I did not know that google owned YouTube, or maybe I just didn't pay attention when I was told but I will remember that in the future. Thanks for the comment and the advice.
If you want unique content - then make your own. If you use Youtube videos you want to try to use those that aren't made by a competitor as people will then follow the link to their site and go off and read what they have to say.
Great advice IMc, thanks for commenting and for sharing. But what if I am reviewing a competitor and want to use their video as an example?
