From what I understand, you can't change your website URL, I would have to buy a new domain. Is there a way to transfer all of the content from my old domain that I purchased t

The Site Manager allows you to transfer content from one domain to another. This happens regularly when a newbie uses the SiteRubix site to create a website and then transfers the data to a new personal domain website.

All the best with this transfer.

Edwin

You are correct. URL's are unique brandable one of a kind domain names that NO ONE can copy. That said, if you HAVE HEAPS of content you can just point the content from your current website to the new website - If you host your website on WA, then these steps are pre-set up via WA and are SUPER easy to do. For an external website you can download a plug in and the plug in will redirect everything for you. If you have little / no content - then just start a fresh. This way you don't run the risk of slowing down your website with unnecessary links / extra steps that will annoy your potential website visitors.

How does getting comments on your website help your website? Does it attract more attention to your website? Does Google rank you higher if it sees more activity on it? How exa

Yep, it does. It actually makes a huge difference. I'd recommend getting as many comments as you can, and making as many comments as you can on others sites.

*** yes, absolutely! ... it demonstrates that you have an interested audience in engaging with you and that leads to increased credibility with the search engines ... keep going forward to Success, Big Success! ...

all the best, cheerio ... :)

I'm thinking about branching out my content a little. Currently, I'm teaching people how to use a synthesizer and concepts surrounding sound synthesis. I'm thinking about doing

It all depends what your eventual goal is. If it is to make money through Affiliate Marketing, then you need to write Blogs to attract your target market.

I feel that there is a target market consisting of musicians who seek the right kind of equipment to help their creativity. The amazing thing is, you do not have to reach gazillions of people in order to find those who you can connect with.

If your blogs can reach those who appreciate what you are doing then you can make sales of synthesizers and music software.

There are many related companies, including Amazon, who have affiliate programs that carry the equipment you will be talking about in your reviews.

I wish you much success in this field. Go for it!

Edwin

While busy giving feedback and comments in our Site Comments, I noticed several sites who are already practicing what you're thinking here, branching their content to related stuff. And they're doing great, some are well-established sites with good rankings.

Go for it. Sounds great. Jim

Hey! Not really. It's your website. You have full control on what you want to write about. Don't limit yourself.

It's just that this initiative is telling Google you want to attract new keywords attached to your site. Yet, technically, it doesn't really go out of the way from your main content/niche.

So, go on. :)

Thanks for the reply! :-)

I'm just waiting to make my first big mistake haha it's bound to happen eventually, just not now, I guess

Why? what do you mean "big mistake?"

I mean just making some kind of mistake. I have seen other people on here say that 'you will make mistakes, it's part of the process of learning', so just waiting for it. I don't think I have made any big mistakes yet.

Better keep thinking it won't happen.

Oh, I thought something terrible. Right, you will have a looooot to go through. I've done a lot over the years. Trial and error, as they say. :)
