usually directories have searchable databases which allow visitors to explore and discover newsletters. The directories generally sort publications by specific categories such as business, travel, politics, organic food, crypto currencies etcetera
Aggregators share your content on their platform.Aggregators work in two different ways Some aggregators create feeds that potential readers can browse whilst others send readers newsletters samples.
The biggest reason to do this with your newsletters is the free advertising and SEO benefits, remember back in the day how Wealthy Affiliates owned an article directory I think it was Street articles. Also the founder of Ezine articles made a fantastic living for years. At the height of Ezine articles popularity I had over 7000 articles published online. Those days are gone but there are still newsletter directories.
Tips to Stand out in Directories.
A directory is a showcase of your work, so spend some tine defining your brand. You generally only get one sentence to define your brand. An example would be:-
"Bi-weekly newsletter with micro techniques to improve your memory instantly"
The sentence should include info about how often they are published and the problem it solves
another example would be
"Catherine's cookery class a weekly newsletter teaching practical nutrition for new vegans"
Another practical thing to do is make sure your logo stands out and doesn't get lost.
