I came across the name Matice Ahnjamine my heart went out to her. She has a stutter, and she also has a successful YouTube presence with over 70 videos. Many newbies put off making videos and there's lots of reasons for this.

Most people blame it on not having the technical knowledge but I think the underlying factor is in fact fear. I have been making videos for years and I still hate the sound of my own voice, it really grates on me! Weirdly, no one has ever made a comment about my voice other than one person once said

"I could listen to your voice for ever".

Now I'm not saying that that person was right. The point is it doesn't matter the elephant in the room, the one that sitting on your shoulder is the one that saying you shouldn't get out there.

There are lots of arguments for not having a YouTube presence not least of which you are relying on the third party to get your message out there. YouTube has terms and conditions and it's very easy to fall into the trap of thinking other people have got away with making that video.

Our very own Roope recently blogged about being banned from YouTube. He made a video of a type of which there are a lot on YouTube. It was about how to download YouTube videos for free. YouTube has terms and conditions. One of those terms and conditions is that you have to be a paid member to download videos. So making a video like this will raise a red flag to manual assessors.

Just because you shouldn't necessarily have a YouTube presence doesn't mean that you can have Carte Blanche to run away from making videos. I host mine on 1/3 party platform where I pay for the hosting. Then I simply embed them onto my blogs.

So even if you fear, or are frightened to death, about making videos, remember Matice, she gets out there and every Friday she publishes a video with her stuttering.

My question is "what is stopping you?"

The point is for most of you most of you hated writing when you joined Wealthy Affiliates. Many of you hadn't written since you were at school. The process gets easier the more you practice. Now I'm not saying I agree with the 10,000 Hours rule purported by Malcolm Gladwell’s in the 2008 book,Outliers.

Gladwell states that “ten thousand hours is the magic number of greatness”. My answer to that is absolute rubbish. I have spent over 10,000 hours filling in tax forms, government papers and the inevitable crap you get because I chose to be an entrepreneur.

Trust me, it hasn't made me great at doing that job. It is too simple to say that practice makes perfect when you are assessing human skill there are other factors to be considered. These factors can be genetic or environmental.

If you look at the great acting families in the UK they were and our dynasties I am talking about
John Mills, Edward Woodward, the Redgraves, the Cumberbatchs, the Troughton's and the Fox clans. I am sure that this is not exclusive but the point is those children grew up in acting families. Their parents, their siblings, their aunts and uncles are nearly all actors. They are exposed to the realities of what it means to act and a very young age.

It also opens doors to them when they go for an interview and they have any of the surnames above.

Most of us don't have the advantages here but we can all start to make videos and as we learn we will grow more confident.

If Matice Ahnjamine can do it with style and confidence so can we.
