If not Now When?

I've had lots of mentors in my online career, and I have also used a lot of coaches at various times for various things.

(Plus a LOT of coaches for various topics I wanted to improve in)

And one Mentor kept repeating this...

"Procrastination is the disease of the poor."

Some think procrastination is because people want to make things perfect before they do something.

Such as launch or start a business.

Me?

I think a BIG part of procrastination is caused by fear.

Fear of failure, therefore I'll put off doing the things I need to

Fear of ridicule from others, therefore if I don't start, I can't be made fun of.

Fear of success ........yes believe it, or not a lot of people want to play small because they fear they will lose people they love

Spoiler alert...

You will probably lose contact with some people, but you will never lose contact with those that love you, as you are unconditionally.

I'd rather have people poke fun of me for trying and failing than not having the guts to try at all!

For some, it is actually fear of success... what do I do if all these orders come in?

If you've been procrastinating, for whatever reason, to start your online business then think of this

Another mentor of mine ALWAYS used to challenge me when I was 'thinking of doing something or pondering an idea...

"IF NOT NOW .........WHEN?

Always something to keep on the horizon, it can be easy to miss a beat; one of the cool things can be the realization that we are all tinged; from time to time, we can all procrastinate. As long as we don't make it a habit, we are good to go. Your post is an excellent reminder, Catherine.

Great Post, Catherine!
Fear to Success? Yes, I feel That too. But I want to conqueress that feeling and be ready for whatever comes. If I fail, I have to accept, but then I have to check why? If you really love what you are doing, you can always find a solution to fix it and continue to the main purpose of your goals to success.

Enjoy your day!
Thanks,
Joyce

Good morning Catherine,

I hope you're doing well and business is good.

I like your very wise words, I actually think it's better to fail at something rather than not doing anything! I believe that all the world's great business success stories, all those people have made huge mistakes and yet they didn't give up.

We need to keep pushing forward and to forget what people think and forget about our failures! There's only one way and that is forward!

Have a great day.

Roy

This post is a good challenge for me. I don't procrastinate because of fear. I don't think I ever have. I procrastinate out of complacency. That's a nice way of saying that I can be lazy. Doing this much is okay so why do more. I always have to push myself to move forward.

That's true for me at times as well

Hi Catherine,
As some wise man said, (I can’t remember who offhand) ... ‘the only thing to fear is fear itself’.
I suspect that most people, if completely honest would admit that their fears mostly relate to what others think of them (apart from life or death situations).
:-)
