Do you have an Email List Or Plan to Start one?
Just a few questions I would like to ask the community. over the years I have started a lot of email lists. i have been around the block, more than once with auteresponders. Even now I have three autoresponders .No one autoresponder ticks all the boxes.
I would like to start an in depth training about email marketing
Including
Why you need an email list
When to start an email list
What to consider when choosing an auteoresponder
Why you should NEVER use a free autoresponfer
What to write about
The different types of newsletters
How often to email people
Are there anything else you would like to know about list bulding? What are your technical challenges. I would be grateful for your answers.
Thanks Catherine

Hi Catherine,
That’s a great idea to do some email marketing training.
Though email marketing is something I’m not considering now, here are some thoughts I have in mind:
1.) How often should you give away free materials through email (i.e. free ebook/pamphlet)? I know some email marketers will do that to get leads or referrals- and ultimately, new customers for their business.
2.) How often should you send out emails? Daily? Weekly?
3.) How should you structure call to action (CTA) elements in emails? Should they be at the beginning or the end of emails?
4.) When is it necessary to use storytelling in emails? Based on email lists I’m subscribed to, I notice that storytelling can be very effective and grabs readers attention.
5.) As WA members, we are trained to help people. How can we use email as an effective tool to helping others, rather than just “sell” to them/make a buck or two?
I hope these questions help with your training. All the best with your brainstorming efforts.
Regards,
-Eric
Of course, I'm glad to have helped come up with these questions. Best of luck with putting together the training.

Good morning Catherine,
Now that sounds like a good idea and something that many people would be interested in.
It's interesting that you use three autoresponders, it's bad enough learning the functionality of one autoresponder! However, I do understand where you're coming from, none of them quite all click the boxes.
Maybe in your course, you can include what your favourite autoresponder is and the benefits of each one et cetera. I personally use Aweber. And how about; how to find an appropriate free gift to give away in exchange for an email address?
Have a great day,
Roy
OK Thanks for the suggestion it is a timely reminder to me . That is so obvious to me I hadn't considered that newbies might not be able to work that out. I appreciate the suggestion very much
It's a pleasure, Catherine!
Are you building a paid product or is your training going to be added to the Wealthy Affiliate training?
Have a great weekend,
Roy
Both Roy it will be a big expensive old course and also added here to the members area where it will be free
Fantastic Catherine! If you are using or have experience with three different autoresponders, you obviously have plenty of experience which is great to share!
Have a great Sunday.
Roy
Great timing, please let me know when this takes place. I just finally got my download, I thought. It in wrong place, I can see, but says doesn't exist and non functional. Lol a mess lol. A young lady helping me, laptop from shop in 2 days n im gonna redo. Till I get it right. .my research suggests email listing is long term investment of any site if maintained and well attended to. I agree.
Studies show, worth $1.42 in 2021 per entry per month.
Your thoughts?

It took me almost a year to get a subscriber list of 10, then it ballooned to a hundred after using social media and increasing my blogging rate. My goal is to build this list to 200+ by end of year. So I will be waiting eagerly for this training,
Waiting for the goodies, Catherine, grease to your elbows 💪 😜
A great start don't knock it a small responsive list is far better than a massive list of people that don't open your emails. Big is not always better and for the record as you build your list your open rates slow down does your responsiveness
