Take the Wheel

When will your life change for the better?
The answer is simple: the second you decide it will.
Affiliate marketing is proof of that. I’ve seen it firsthand. The day I stopped waiting for the “perfect time” and started taking real action was the day my business began to shift.
Your life is in your wheelhouse. No one is steering it but you. And in affiliate marketing, that’s crystal clear. Nobody’s going to build your site for you. Nobody’s going to create your content, pick your niche, or write your emails. You either take the wheel with both hands or you drift away.
You don’t need to change everything at once. Start with something small. Write that first blog post. Hit publish even if it’s not perfect. Learn one new skill today and apply it. Those little wins stack up until you look back and realize you’ve built something real.
But here’s the kicker: you can’t treat this like a quick test drive. Success doesn’t come from dabbling. If you want affiliate marketing or your life to change for the better, you’ve got to make a conscious effort every single day. Show up. Learn. Apply. Adjust. Then repeat the process.
That’s the difference between people who talk about building an online business and people who actually do it.
So stop waiting. Stop doubting. The wheel is in your hands right now. Steer toward the business and the life you want.
Because affiliate marketing isn’t about luck, it’s about choice. And the moment you choose to take it seriously, your life starts to change.

I sure would love to take the wheel on the sailboat. Michael! We used to have a J-30 racing sailboat that we competed with in sailboat races on the long St. John's river and Atlantic ocean.
I'm here everyday, working and learning.
So, yes, I'll take the wheel with my business, too :)
Teri
I sailed some on vacations in my younger days but it was loads of work. Too old and fat to do it now.
Hi there 👋
Thank you for reaching out. I’m ready to take the wheel, and your encouragement means a lot.

Great post Michael and this applies to many things in life. This reminds me of a conversation I was having with one of my medical patients I was transporting for 40 minutes to a cancer hospital yesterday.
She was stressed out that the cancer treatments the doctors were giving her were not working as they said they would and she was feeling worse and worse. So I asked her, have you done any research on what you have?
She said that she has but didn't want to bring it all up with the oncologist. I told her flat out, don't expect the doctors to tell you what you found out on your own because they will not. They are like robots. So I told her...
You took the first step to research what you have and the symptoms. Now be bold and tell your oncologist. Do not hold back. Remember, it's your life! If you die because of his neglect, he will still be doing the same to others.
By the time I got her to her appointment at the hospital she was smiling and joking. She said she felt so at ease and confident. Two hours later when I picked her up she said her and the doctor made good progress.
People can't be passive when they encounter something they don't know much about. Either do the research and jump in or just jump in and learn as you go. Procrastination is a killer in health just as it is in starting in affiliate marketing.
This is a very good example and not the first time I have heard of a positive in the medical field.
For instance, I have seen someone being taken out of hospice care because a family member gathered the courage to ask for a second opinion and an oversight by the primary doctor was caught.
As I told this woman and others, many doctors think or act like they are God when it comes to healthcare. This is why it's important to do your research because doctors do make mistakes and many do not keep up on new research techniques.
I agree
