Today is September 11, 2025. Twenty-four years since the attacks. A day we swore never to forget. Yet here I am, hearing Gen Z kids question if it even happened. Doubt it took place at all. That scares me. Not just for the ignorance, but for what it means about where this next generation is heading. I’ll say this much: I have not forgotten the 343 firefighters, nor the countless others we lost that day. Their courage and sacrifice will never be erased from my mind.

Then there’s yesterday’s blow. The assassination of one of the most positive and open voices of our time. A man guilty only of sparking honest debate and challenging people to think. And for that, he’s gone. Taken by hate. When ideas become grounds for murder, we’ve lost something much deeper. It’s lunacy. You don’t have to agree with someone to respect their right to live and speak. Hate has no place here, yet it keeps forcing its way in.

And just as I was processing that, the feds made their move on vaping. Raids. Seizures. Products from China were wiped off the market in one sweep. For me, vaping is a side niche. I’ll rebound. But for many, it’s their whole business. Their entire income. Gone in an instant. The old saying about not putting all your eggs in one basket? It became real yesterday. Some are about to learn that lesson the hardest way possible.

All of this hit in the span of a day. A heavy 24 hours. But here’s the difference: I’m not broken by it. I’m sorting through it all, yes. But I’m also steady. I’ve got a plan, and I’ll keep moving forward. I always do. That’s how you rebound. That’s how you keep going when the world feels like it’s tilting off its axis.
