I've been commenting on pages (comment requests) and enjoy it. But sometimes a site isn't actually a site. Today one of the pages submitted for comments was the basic "hello world" with no actual content. My choices are to not comment (leave commenting for now), click "not interested" (but I'm trying to avoid that) or to report the site. Is report the right option? Or something else?

I have just fed back direct and sometimes its a publishing issue and they are happy its been pointed out as they made a mistake. I guess we are all learning. I know sometimes I give comments and get nothing back but hey I just go with the flow and it will come back another way I'm sure. My premise is how I can I help and overall I think that culture pays off. Happy commenting!

Hi Diane, I do not see any reason to report the site. The site that asks for comments has to spend two credits. After a few, "not interested" they will get the picture, and provide better content to comment on.

Best wishes,
Michael

Hi - I would just leave it. If you were to report it, it may lead to them having their website removed, which wouldn't really be fair.

Yes, that's why I didn't click report. It's not clear to me what happens if the site is reported. It could just be that they check on it and remind the owner. But it might be worse.

The problem is, if I say "not interested" it counts against me.

I guess until I find another solution, I just leave the comment area for a while.

Thank you for your comment.

I would just not comment and trash it

By trash do you mean click "not interested"? That option counts against me (we are allowed up to 20% but I have not used the option yet)
