Hello WA Community,

What is the best editing software for beginners for youtube videos?

I am asking for a friend who has a youtube channel and she has never done any editing at all. Says she doesn't know how. She just shoots the videos and then uploads them.

She doesn't even know what a keyword is.

Also, any tutorials or training that you know of would also be a big help.

I have googled and also searched youtube but couldn't find anything really helpful.

She is becoming frustrated as she has had her channel for over 2 years and feels that it is going nowhere. Thought I would try and help a friend out.

Thank you
Tai

You can use YouTube to edit form within, however you may also consider checking out this resource

I'm not sure, Tai! I use YouTube's own ways of editing and loading! I hope you get some good answers, my friend!

This is a new one to me. Thanks for introducing ti to me.
I did take a look at it and it looks like the free version only provides 3 hours of recordings.

Is that what you found too?.

Just learned about last week but I thought the 3 hours relates to podcasting but after reading your response, I double- checked and saw that yes, it is only for the first 3 hours.
In that case, she can use Filmora Video Editor for free always.
Thank you, George for pointing this out to me

You are welcome. Thanks for confirming.
You may also want to check on Filmora Video Editor because it looks like it can be downloaded free but not sure it is free to use.

Wow, just checked
It is only free for 30 days as a free trial
Is anything completely free?
I need to do some more research.
Thanks George for pointing that out

Openshot is free. It has a lot of options for video editing. Lots of YouTube videos to learn how to customize your video.
It does take a while to convert to a MP4 file that can be put directly onto your channel, my videoscan be 30 to 40 minutes long.
