I have another question for the community but I need to screenshot. How do I blur out my website URL in the screenshot as I know that is a no-no.
As you can tell I am not tech-savvy. In fact, I just learned how to do a screenshot. :)

Hey Phil,

If you don't mind me asking, why don't you just use the screenshot from your keyboard?

What do you use screenpresso for and what am I missing?

Thanks!

i used to do this...
but if you look at the screenshot above which took a few seconds to do with the blur and arrow and text it is a lot more efficient and is kept in a library which i can easliy go back to to reuse....
show me your screenshot Zach...

Oh, ok,

I just use the image editor, it doesn't take too long, but it is really basic and doesn't look like it does anything near what you are using does.

Also, I will attach a screenshot, but yours is much better.

I just don't think I have a need to alter screenshots that much at the moment.

Do you find yourself altering screenshots a lot?

i alter almost everyone now... adding annotation or if you need to do something in a sequence with screenpresso you have a numbered annotation...
but yes i found drawing arrows with the mouse or the finger on the touch pad not good...
so if you are explaining things to others i find the presentation does count for a lot nowadays and as screenpresso has a free version i started with that and wanted the extra features as it is a one time fee product with lifetime updates...

I see,

I was sure you had a good reason for using it, I just haven't been at this as long as you and didn't realize what the reason was.

Can I ask you something else?

With regular screenshots, they're kept in my pictures folder.

Now, I know you said the screenpresso screenshots are kept in a library, is that stored on your computer or where are the screenpresso screenshots kept?

Also, when I add regular screenshots, I click add image and I'm taken to my folders.

How do you add the screenpresso screenshots? (only if they're not stored on our computer or kept in our pictures folder)

Thanks again, Phil :)

P.S. I really appreciate everything you do for me and everyone else!!!

hi Zach, i find it a very useful program for almost every image i use for here...even down to the cleanliness of the arrows...
yes they are stored in a folder on your computer and what i have just found out is that you can setup 'workspaces' ( other folders for projects) so you could have one for wa , another for your website, another for social...etc....
you can collaborate with others in workspaces and sychronize to the cloud....
you also get an undo...something you don't get with the windows snipping tool...
the most recent image is on the clipboard and the main page is found in the hidden icons on the toolbar of windows...
it stores the last 30 images to prevent too much storage space being used or you can change this to store all...

how are you getting on with oxygen...

Hi - another vote for Monosnap here. It's very easy to use, you can blur things out, add coloured arrows and text to your image to point out something of importance etc.

Hello Taianne,

One tool I use to blur out parts of screenshots is Monosnap. It's a great tool to edit screenshots, especially when you want to blur out some areas.

It's a free tool to use, and simple to navigate. Jay did a class on screenshots awhile back, and he brought up Monosnap as well.

I got a lot out of the class. Here's the link for your reference. I hope that helps- all the best :)

Regards,

-Eric
