Have you seen links in blog posts here at WA?

Yes, I have as well.

is it allowed?

No, It's not!

Have you read the rules?

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co... from Kyle!

I am now bring this up because there are those that have been here for 4 years or more who are still doing this!

If we expect new WA members not to break the rules, shouldn't we as veteran members also not break the rules?

If you see someone posting a link in their blogs, outside links especially but even links within WA that point to other blogs and/or training is not allowed if it's self promoting.

Did you know that even placing your website name on your bio at WA is against the rules?

Yes it is, our links for websites, social media sites etc.... are only allowed on our WA Profile page on the bottom of the right side where it says "Follow Me on"

There are only 7 spaces available so use them wisely!

What do you think, should some members be allowed to break the rules and others not?

No should be able to break the rules regardless of who they are or how high they are ranked.
The whole program loses its integrity if this is allowed. We are all equals, I hope.
Also, who gets to set that standard of rule breaking, Kyle, successful members, or even me.
Part of the joy of this program is the hope it gives to anybody, no matter what their level of training is.
How can we give hope to a beginner if they feel like this is rigged for rule breakers?
WA seems like the only honest place that is not a get rich scheme like so many others.
We have to have trust in the system and each other. I don't want help from someone who breaks the rules.
We are on this journey together and we want all to succeed through hard work and time.
It's not too much to ask we be honest, it It?

You are very welcome Johnny,

I have seen many posts lately with links and from those who have been here as long as I have and some even longer.

They either don't know the rules, don't care about the rules or maybe the rules don't apply to them!

I hope that it's because they just don't know the rules but most likely they do and that makes me both sad and angry.

I joined about a year ago but didn't take it seriously like I do now. I don't want to do something stupid to stop my success. And if I have made a mistake in the past (Really didn't pay attention to the guidelines as much as I should have) I didn't mean to break the rules on purpose if I did at all.
So Tony, thanks again for the info and the way you care about this.
To a new friend here in WA.

Thanks for the warning. That of the profile link I did not realise, so I took it out.

I am new here, haven't posted any links, but was unaware of the ruling. I appreciate you pointing it out to me. I have participated in other forums and self promotion is frowned upon and it's common sense too.

Thank you for the post

I have a little bit of a question about #3. It says not to post content from WA anywhere else on the internet, but there is a lesson in bootcamp where Kyle teaches us to pin WA blogs to Pinterest, and encourages it. I also thing you can post links to outside sources for information purposes, but I know you can't link to your own sites.

It means not to copy and paste the content, producing duplicate content Grant.

Sharing WA links onto Social Media is an excellent and WA Approved way of sharing WA Content my Friend!

Does the above help to answer your question Grant?

Yeah, Tony. That clears up some of the fog. I wrote a post a while back where I linked to several successful women who had their own online businesses, from an online magazine. Done for inspirational purposes. I'm pretty sure it was within the rules. I looked into it first, but still, mistakes can be made.

Was the blog that you wrote and shared the links posted here on WA Grant?

Nope. It was from an article on Inc.com.

Actually Grant,

I went to your WA Profile Page and looked at your blogs and this one - and it has 19 outside links - That is highly against the rules my Friend.

In the rues, it clearly states that if a reader of your blog here at WA needs to go outside of WA to "Continue to learn and/or read more" then it's not allowed.
