Hi people, I believe most people use WA more to create blogs where they also promote products as an affiliate. But do many people use it as an online store and if so, do they not write much? I notice webstores don't exactly have lengthy reviews on the products they're selling, but rather just a product description, a few images and a link. Would you say a blog is a more economical way to go with this? Thank you.

Hello from Nottingham! Yes, you can create an online store, but unless you intend to pay for traffic, you also need a blog to attract visitors. If all you have is hundreds of products, Google will not promote you high enough to be seen. You will be yet another store among the millions already out there.

I see you now live in Cork. My ex-husband was from Macroom, and I have had the pleasure of visiting there numerous times!

Oh hi, thanks for sharing this. Wow, so you come here now and then; that's great to hear. I had a college friend who lives in Macroom.

Yes, I see now how that would work. The keywords etc. in the blog are good for ranking and attracting organic traffic whereas an online store would already need a lot of visibility somehow. Thanks for this.

Mostly blogs, however some do add ecommerce plugins.

Such as WooCommerce and Paypal integrations.

Online stores nowadays include blogs too as in the example of Shopify, to drive further traffic into their stores.
