For those of us who give comments on site comment, I am hoping someone can help me clear this confusion.

For awhile now, since I hit the "100/50 comments given" I realise that my comments status keeps decreasing.

I.e. instead of going greater than 100 with each added comment, its decreasing.

Even though I offer comments on a daily basis, between 1 to 10 comments, depending on how much time I have to spare or how many posts needing comment at the time.

But at least one comment a day. So I am wondering, why the comments given keeps dropping instead of increasing or is there something I am doing wrong?

Any ideas please?

I have no experience here as I only give comments when they are offered to me in my mailbox, I have never sought to give comments, I didn't know you could do that... Thanks for your post I am learning new stuff all the time...

I don't know if I understand what you mean by "sought to give comment"
Usually, I give comment when I receive an email to offer comments, or when I request for comments, I can also directly give some comments to boost my own request.
I don't know if that is what you mean by sought?

Hi - it's based on a rolling programme of 30 days, not the overall total of comments given. It's to ensure you keep up your certified commenter status and don't drop below the 50 comments in 30 days.
