It may be a shame Lula but it can easily lead to abuse of the system the main thing is to focus on your websites and while learning here to get to share, support, and help each other along our journeys together here.

I agree Andre. If there was a financial incentive, then members might try and "game" the system by adding meaningless comments that don't actually help or answer the question.

Although, I believe the ranking algorithm is being changed to discount those comments anyway.

I am sure I have also seen, although I can't find it now, that blog post comments will also be counted differently, to only count the number of unique members that have commented, rather than the overall number of comments.

In other words, if somebody responds, and the original poster replies and they continue with a back and forth conversation, it will only count as 1 comment. That will obviously reflect on which posts make it into the Top 10.

True i agree with you on that as well. Much the same as the site comments got abuse the overall consistency need to be there. We can still add those added comments but if it is counted as you state that would be fair too.

Totally agree, this way it is very fair as far as unique commenting.

As soon as you put monetary value it would attract even more spam and miscommunications. It has got to have a rather ad-hoc approach.

My main reason for answering peoples questions and adding comments is to help them where I can towards whatever they want to achieve.

In addition, I thank people for their useful information, thereby showing gratitude and encouraging more of the same.

Sometimes I do research to find an answer to an interesting question and learn even more.

It's an all-in-one learning experience with a lot of give and take.
