I understand the confusion. Think of your favorite thriller--book or movie. The opening is the hook because it pulls you into the story. But what keeps you reading or watching? This is in essence the job of a Bucket Brigade.
So the Bucket Brigade is more than the hook. It's what's done to keep you interested after you have been hooked. I hope that helps.
