Dont presume, do check
i dearest followers,
First of all I want to wish all of you a wonderfully prosperous, happy and healthy 2017!
Secondly, WA sent me a message that I´d found my way back in the top 200 - wheeee!
Finally, I´ll address the title of my post.
It so happened I noticed I had 671 community members following me. On the other hand, I was following 667. So I thought I´d missed a few, and decided to check my followers list.
Boy, oh boy, oh boy! Turns out I wasn´t following fifty two WA members who were following me.
This happens so easily: I say hi and welcome new followers, and then forget to click the follow button.
I know for a fact this happens to others as well, because I now still have 671 followers while I´m now following 667 + 52 = 719.
Checking and changing is quick and easy:
1. Just click on the blue picture next to the black picture with the plane on the right top side of your screen. (See also the first picture in this post.)
2. Then click on following ´yourname´.
3. Scroll through the list and click on every green button that spells follow me. The button text then changes into following.
So, don´t presume you´re following everybody you intended to follow, and do check and change!
When you´ve completed this task, please let me know how many you missed. I´m really curious who, if at all, will top my 52.

I'm guilty of this too Tezsie. I check every now and then and follow the ones I'm not yet following.
The same thing can happen with giving likes. We read the post and go straight to the comments and forget to like. I make it a point when I get my reply to check to see if I have "liked" the post. If I haven't I do it then.
We are funny creatures, are we not? Lol.
Hi, Jeannie, very familiar thing with the comments and forgetting to like. I most always scroll up to check. But then I do that with the follow welcomes too. Apparently, I still miss a lot.
Quite funny indeed! lol
Congrats on the Top 200. I have a lot of Starter members who follow me but never upgrade. I don't generally follow them back because most of them aren't participating in the site any longer.
Hi, Mel, that´s certainly a consideration. But how do you find out about them not participating any longer?
Well, once they've been here seven days, if they didn't upgrade, they're not allowed access to the classrooms, chat, etc., so there is no real value that I can provide to them any longer.
