The economy is so horrible these days, and many people have turned to Internet businesses to recover their lost jobs, or to get a second income coming in. However, most people are not prepared for the challenges of the Internet business or making an income online. That's why it's important to have a plan in place. Here are some ideas to help you keep your Internet business working well. If everyone looks at WA as their own personal online business, it will probably be easier for you to get motivated to work the hardest you ever did at anything!

1. Know your money situation. This is important in some ways, but not necessarily the way you believe. You are more than likely going to want to upgrade your membership to premium (if you haven't already) to access all the benefits and you might even need some extra money for marketing materials. Not only that, however, you are going to need to have some money to live on until your Internet business starts to take off if you have already quit your job. If you are working outside the home, I wouldn't quit until you see a steady cash flow happening!

2. Becoming an affiliate you should pick your products wisely. Remember, you're going to be making a living off of what you sell along, whether that be a service or a product. It's got to be something you're passionate about, so that your passion will affect others. You are going to be spending many hours with your Internet business, so it better be something that you like a lot.

You also have to make sure people have a need for your product. You may be passionate about purple people eaters, but if no one wants or needs one, you are going to have a hard time getting sales.

3. You are going to receive A LOT of emails from Wealthy Affiliate regarding people who are following you, any questions members post, and posts from members! Try and organize them if you can, and set a time limit of emails you will go through depending if you have an outside job or just work from home! Maybe an hour of going through emails, and than on to something else, like a personal post on WA, and than working on a course, and back to email! 3. Get help where you can. This is a major thing for every internet business to understand. Now of course, you are the only one who understands how to do everything--or at least, that's what you tell yourself. You need to be able to delegate well, as well as how to outsource when you need to. Join online forums for Internet businesses so that you can get help and tips from them as well as advertising. You aren't ever as alone as you think you are; there is always someone who is willing to help you, if you take the time to look. Just take a look at WA and all the members willing to lend a hand when needed!

4. Be patient. Success may not happen overnight. MORE than likely it won't happen overnight! That is not realistic!! But that doesn't mean it won't happen! Go into your home business every day thinking that today is the day that you'll get some sales and feel great!

5. Pay attention to any referrals you get. A lot of new Wealthy Affiliate members think that every referral is going to upgrade to Premium within the week or at least the month. It's just not that way most of the time. But keep on advertising, and focus on the training in the courses. If you are smart when you advertise, you find a really small area of the whole to market to. For example, try not to target women, but rather college-aged students or stay at home mom's or dad's(Just an example). When you focus in like this, you'll find your targeted marketing helps save you money in marketing costs.
