11 Ways to Easily Maximise Content
23
Just a quick overview on the essential steps to creating and optimising content on posts and videos for your chosen niche:
- Decide on topic – you can write a product review, a “how-to” post or a summary. If you can't decide, you could a use a video made by someone else as a starting point for ideas.
- Keyword research - find your main keyword, preferably a long tail keyword, plus some additional keywords. If you can make these additional keywords subheadings for subtopics within the article, this will add credibility
- Research your topic - if the topic is one you are already familiar with, this shouldn’t take too long.
- If you're not familiar with the topic, you will need to allow time to thoroughly research and understand it.If you're doing a post based on a video, watching the video two or three times before you publish your review should be enough for you understand it fully.
- If you're doing a product review, you need to spend time to properly go through the product. Ideally, and if funds allow, you should buy the product, then spend time really thoroughly familiarising yourself with it. This can take a little more time, but it's worth it to make sure your review is accurate and meaningf
- Write your content and publish on your website - split it into subtopics and write about each subtopic conversationally as if you are emailing a friend. Add images to create a great overall, eye catching effect.
- Share post on social media – sharing your post on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc can be rewarding, but do not spend too much time prioritising Social Media as a platform for your posts.
- Create video - because you've already written an article about your chosen niche product, the obvious follow-up is creating a video. This is a reasonably easy process and can be achieved using products such as Biteable or Screencast-o-Matic to record yourself talking about the topic.
- Share video on social media - the awesomely high number of people who regularly spend time on social media are proven to also like watching videos.
- Embed video in website post - this is great for visitors who like watching videos and reading the supporting text.
- Share post to email list - you are helping them by providing informative content.
- Write mini posts - the idea here is to put your main keyword (or your additional keywords) into Google then check out the related searches; use these as topics to write additional short posts about the topic and publish these also. These mini posts can then have internal links back to your main post.
- Get comments - this process will help your get your post better rankings in the search engines, like Google, Bing, etc.
Thanks for stopping by and (hopefully) reading this post.
Until the next time.
