I just bought a domain name and am in the process of customizing it (installing a theme, setting up about me page etc.) but when I'm in the back office of my website and click

Give it time for the new domain name to propagate throughout the internet, it may take a couple of hours.

Hi, my domain was activated about a week ago but I still have this problem

Hi,

Try clicking on websites on the left of your WA dashboard. When the websites screen comes up, click on Sitebuilder. When you get to Sitebuilder you will need to click on "domain you own" and you can enter the domain name.

You can then install themes from there.

Hope that helps.

Rex

Hi, I've done that but I'm still running into the same issue

Let's try going to SiteManager. It should list your domains and or websites there. See if you have a website installed for your domain yet. If not you can click install from Site Manager.

I've tried that as well but to no avail. I think I've found a work around though. I have to log in to my website, scroll down to the themes and click "live preview" which brings me to the customization part of the theme. That's the only way I can see my website. When I type my domain into google and hit search, I run into the same problem as before where I'm unable to view it. This isn't a permanent fix, but it'll at least keep me from going crazy in the meantime haha. Thank you for trying to help!

Ok, well I'm glad you got into your site. Once you pick a theme and install it on your site, maybe you will be able to view it then.

Keep me posted, it has me perplexed like a puzzel you just can't quite fiqure out ;)

Don't go crazy, there is a solution so don't worry

Thank you for your responses everyone! I think I was getting a little ahead of myself, so I will continue the training and see where it goes from there.<

Hi - obviously, I dont know where you are in the training, but level 2, lesson 3 teaches you to write content.

Hey, are you sure you're using the Online Entrepreneur Certification training?
The first one as shown when you click 'training'?
At lesson 7 in level 1, you're asked to create 2 contents: An about me post and the privacy policy page.
The About me post is indexable and very important.
So, to answer your question - no!

The first course is helping you to set up your site, choosing a niche, and gives you an idea about keyword researching.

It is also helping you to set up the privacy policy page and the about me post.

Am I right that those two are needed no matter which niche are you choosing?

So, the order in the lessons is great!

With the second curse, in the first 3 lessons, you'll continue to set up your site.

Starting with lesson 4, you'll be asked to start creating content within your niche.

Just follow the courses, you'll see that all make sense ;)
Good luck!

... hi & welcome to Wealthy Affiliate Premium! ...

uhm -- some good points you've made .... of course, there's a process to it all ... and does creativity at its best necessarily require an A to B to C logic? ....

it's all relative ... it's all ok ... and at the end, the result is likely the same ...

keep well, enjoy the amazing WA journey to Success ... :)

I can see where you are coming from but from my own experience you have to have at least an idea of the niche you want to aim at before you do keyword research otherwise where do you start researching keywords.

For instance if I was looking at creating a new website I would first decide who are my target market i.e my niche then I could start to do my research as to what search terms or keywords are being used by people in my target market. Only then could I start to develop my keyword lists.

Just my own experience. I wish you every success on your online journey.
