I grew up on a half acre of land on the West Coast in a small town. My family had a little farm with pigs, chickens and turkeys. All kinds of huge fruit trees and our own garden filled with a variety of seasonal vegetables. I loved the smell of the fresh dirt. Digging my hands into it and planting seeds with my family. I'll never forget the feeling of going in the hen house and collecting eggs with my mom. My favorite moments were watching the chicks hatch and break out from their shells. I loved holding them in the palm of my hands and watching them chirp and fall asleep. I had a deep appreciation for farming and agriculture at a early age.
Then I was introduced to cooking when I was 6 years old. My fascination began watching my grandmother cook and bake constantly and the amazing aromas that escaped her kitchen and filled her neighborhood. What grabbed me and had a life changing impact on me was how my grandparents gave of themselves. They were compassionate, kind, loving, God fearing people. They never said no to someone in need of a helping hand. They made great sacrifices for my family and the lives of many people. Even though they are passed away from this life I proudly carry the family torch for them. I have a passion and long time vision to see people's lives drastically changed for the better financially and through education in nutrition and wellness. That is why I am here at WA.
