Hi

I am having trouble finding my Meditation website. In my hosting, it

says the DNS is Wealthy Affiliate but I cannot find it here.

The URL is

I visited your site. A message appeared that the security certifiate is only valid with bluehost dot com.

See Screenshot.

If your site is still with bluehost, you can ask Site Support to transfer it back to WA, instead of starting all over.

I do see the domain name registered with GoDaddy and pointing to WA's name servers:

Have you gone through the steps to actually use the domain here with your sites? Since it's at another registrar you will need to point it to WA's name servers which you have already done. You'll also need to go to Websites > Site Domains and add the domain under Other Domains. Once this is done you can now either move an existing WA site to the domain by going to Websites > Site Manager and clicking on the Move button for the existing site or by creating a site at the new domain by going to Websites > Site Builder, etc.

If you've done all of this and it's still not working, reach out to Site Support.

Hi

I had it working with WA in 2017 but I think it was erased as I left for a year while I was at university. Back to the start for me, I think.

Many thanks for your response

Gillian

Ahh, in that case, reach out to Site Support and ask them to restore the site from backup.

I clicked your link and got the message server could not be found , You could contact site support and see what they can do ?

Thanks. I think it got deleted so I will need to start again.

Thank you for reaching out to me.

In Course 4 Lesson 2 there is mention of a "" plugin. Should that be a specific name?

I don't like Sumome at all. It does not work well for me.

For contact form and pop up etc I use other plugins. But for social media it's included in my theme.

Sumome does it for me but the alternatives suggested below is worth trying.

Just switched to Social Warfare and I am amazed by the functionality.
- Beautiful buttons
- Upload Pinterest specific vertical images for sharing to Pinterest
- Other social media specific images
- Edit text for social media sharing
- Click-to-Tweet sections in post and pages
And very much more functionality.
It's $29/year but well worth it.

Thank you for the information. Will have a look at this.

I also was in contact with their support and I got an almost immediate response (nothing was wrong with the plugin, I just wanted to customize the click-to-tweet inserts to my posts).

They also have an affiliate program, but with 30% of $29/yr don't plan your retirement based on that :)

SumoMe is my preferred Gillian.
Jerome

I like Sumome too But I don't use all the apps. Maybe when I attract more traffic. Not working too hard I hope.
Tracy

Day off today but emptied a lorry full of swing seats ... as well as doing a bit of WA. :-)

I am using Sumome it offers a lot of free cool features

I use the Bloom plugin which is only available to the Divi theme.

Go for Shareaholic which is free without any visitor limitations. I was using Sumo but the free version stopped working once my readership hit 1,000 per month & their pro version is $29 pm which I wasn't prepared to pay.

really. That is interesting because all of a sudden I stopped getting ANY new subscribers. Thought something fishy was going on. that makes sense.

Will have to look into Shareaholic

Yup, I found out the hard way too with Sumo; it's good but why pay if there are other free alternatives that work just as well.

$29/month paid annually is pretty steep.

I found SumoMe. To be very diversified.

they suggest sociable, but I had problems with that plugin and now use sumo which does more more than just a social plugin

Is there anyway to broadcast to my network all at the same time? I am aware I could message them one by one but with over 3000 that might take some time.

Hey Gillian :) as the others have said here a blog post is the best way of reaching your followers and that's if they have email notifications on but if you click the blue network button next to the plane you can see in there who is following you back :)

I don't think you can - it would be considered spamming, I guess.

I don't think there is that provision but you can reach them through blogs

Posting a video in a blog would be a link, and I thought links weren't allowed in blogs

you can make a video of yourself and upload it to a blog to post here, it's not a link and also you can include helpful links in a blog it's only spam links, as in touting for your own benefit, that aren't allowed, if you look through the training you will see many that are done through video. #onwards&upwards; :)

Thanks for the clarification;)

The only way to do it is to write a blog, you might put a video in it.........

Nope, there is no broadcast availability here. Most likely, they aren't interested in the inevitable abuse that it would lead to.

I think you might be right. I am looking for short cuts but I guess in online communities (or any community) short cuts lead nowhere fast ...

For those of you who have been here a while, I am wondering if you have regular (daily) tasks for your online business which you have found to be most effective in bringing res

Excellent question Gillian, it would be nice to have some consistency and strategy on a day to day basis.

Cheers,
Mark

A very good question that has also disturbed me for a while. However, after you are through with your training you will organize your activities based on what more important or pressing at certain point

For the training, I always did 1 lesson per day.

What about once you had finished the training?

it doesn't really end there..there's no more courses but you learn more as you continue to work on your websites.

One lesson per day plus keyword research for next website post.

The next day, another lesson, or a part, plus image research for the post, including resizing, title ready alt text ready (keyword)

The third day, the last lesson's remaining part, or the next one, plus writing and publishing the website post....

Etc, etc, what do you think?☺

I like the structure you are suggesting. Is it working well for you?

Sometimes!

Once my care assistent training's through, and I've a regular job in it ( for the time being☺), my evenings will be free again......

Hello Gillian, as you stated the training is a given, but what should come next is blogging when you can, researching pages and posts for your website and preparing content.

Thank you Harvey. That is a good suggestion. I often do you think I should post to a site? Is there a magic formula?

Most definitely, your site. That is what will draw traffic and eventually an income.

Sorry, my last question should have been How often do you think I should post to a site?

I think that is really up to the individual and the time they have. I would personally post at minimum once a week. The main thing is what Mark stated consistency. That will build trust which is what you want if you are going to have your visitors return. Returning visitors can eventually lead to income.
