please help me out here, how do i send a referral link for wealthy affiliate to my friend who wants to join the family

Hey Teboho,

Why not simply create yourself a customized landing page to send them.... here's a tutorial to show you how: Hope you find this helpful.

Hey Tebby, just go to this link: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share/links
You can get your affiliate link there and then pass it on to the person that you want to refer.

Hope you are doing well,

Andrew

First grab your affiliate link by clicking the dollar sign above your profile pic, then click program details. There you'll find your link.

Now you can simply email that link to your friend

Can you please help me how to create affiliate disclosure page that I can post on my site.

Remember that while you can have a page that goes deeper into affiliate disclosure, you must have a disclosure on each page BEFORE the first affiliate link. Some of the info in the FTC disclosure webinar was incorrect. (I am responsible for monitoring FTC requirements for the largest affiliate network in the world.) You can't have the disclosure in the footer or the sidebar. It must clearly state that you could receive compensation if they click through on one of your links. You can't just say "contains affiliate links" because consumers don't know what "affiliate links" are. Something like, "this post contains affiliate links, which means if you make a purchase I may receive a commission."

Hope that helps.

Thank you so much for asking this question.
I just completed my Affiliate disclosure.

Hi Tebby,

It's extremely simple ... It's a regular page created in the page editor:

Here's mine for example:

https://smartketeer.com/policies/

I have seen some websites have shortcut to socially medias for sharing information on the site, how do I get mine to have those shortcuts?

I see that you have gotten good suggestions so I will not add any more.

You have a couple options. You can place links to your own social media sites so your visitors can follow you and/or you can place tools on your site that allow your visitors to share your posts on their social media sites. I do both.

To share my sites so they can follow I did this: To allow them to share my posts on their sites I used this plugin:
Custom Share Buttons with Floating Sidebar

Hey Teboho,

Here's Kyle's more recent tutorial on a social media plugin: Hope this helps you.

Hi there Tebby! I see you have already been given the answer to this question. There are lots of social media plugins out there that will allow you to do this. The one that Wealthy Affiliate recommends in the training is ok. However, I prefer a plugin called "SumoMe". Just search for it in the plugin database if you want to take a look (its free).

By the way, I took a look at your website. Looks like you are making some excellent progress!

Like Jocelyn, not got there yet, but the advice below seems sound. Aware that you need a plug in, is there not one on your site!.

I didn't have, but i just installed it now

Hi Tebby,
I haven't touch this topic yet but just try to follow this Regards,
Jocelyn

Thank you Jocely, have a beautiful day

Hi Tebby,

have you gone through the certification course? It will explain it here.

But you need a plugin for this. There are many different ones. You can for example use the search bar at the top of WA to see what suggestion people have.

Here is one post I found about it:

Thank you Mikae, I got it

I have recently asked a question, and I see a flame-like icon near it, what does it mean?

Hi Tebby
No Idea . I see you have a number of comments
Regards
David

Thank you David, I got sorted

you're a HOT TOPIC! haha!

It simply means it's "hot" now.
:)
Joe

I think it means that it is currently a hot topic or question where its getting a lot of likes and comments, more than others.

Oh maybe.

Where is your question posted that has the icon? Can you provide a screen shot of it?

Yvette

I wish I could but I don't know how to screenshot on my laptop...I am sorry. I posted it in wealthy affiliate program

Oh ok. Well, I think you received your answers from other members. Seems what you asked is a "hot" topic and gaining a lot of momentum. So, it's all good.

For in the future, you may want to use a tool like "Snipping Tool" that is included in Windows or "Snag It" for screen shots on your laptop. It may be helpful if you run into a problem so people can actually see what you are referring to so they can assist you more efficiently. Just a thought.

Have a great upcoming week.

I would like to add my image on my website profile, I tried avatar but seems like I can't get it right, please help me

Hi Tebby
The community are so great to Help you
David

Very true. Thank you

I also recently asked almost the same question.
I didn't know it is included in the training.

Which level of training is this? I haven't come across it. Thanks for the link

I'm not sure if IT is on the 5th level or if IT is one of the several trainings in the bootcamp. I havent come across it either. But when you try to type "gravatar" in the question search. IT Will show up - as a training video.

Have a nice Day.

Both the answers should work. I just go to edit page, select media and upload my photograph.

Ok thanks RAF I will work on it.

You are welcome.

You need to create that image from Avatar. There is no way you can create it from Wordpress. This is linked to your email used in wordpress.

For this, try this
https://goo.gl/s8dtaA

EDIT
Someone has just posted how to create Avatar in wordpress and I share it here. However, there's a plugin called My First Letter Avatar which create Letter Avatar for your visitor so when they leave comment on your site, the avatar looks much cleaner and nicer.

Maybe this can help you to get it done.
https://goo.gl/R1YrfN

Thank you very much, I follow your link.

Hey Teboho,

If you want to use your image on your About page, you would simply upload your image to your Media Library and insert your image where you want it, in your About page.

However, if you want a gravatar to appear when you comment or respond to a comment, that can be done by creating a gravatar account at gravatar.com

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you very much, I will get back to you if it worked
