Tea Health Benefits

It's a warm day, and I want my tea, but I want it cold. So, I am going to make iced herbal tea. Today, I will make a relaxing, rejuvenating mint julep tea with no alcohol.Mint tea benefits include being a digestive aid, and congestion aid, as well as just tasting good. There are three ways I make cold tea.

  1. Get a container (preferably glass with a non-metallic, tight fitting lid. Put filtered water in the container and add a few fresh mint leaves. I use a special mint called mint julep, which has a natural hint of lime flavor. I also like to add a small piece of a lime before setting it in the sun. Put the lid on and place the container in the sun for at least an hour. The longer you leave it, the stronger the flavor. There is no right or wrong here. It's all personal taste. When you think it's ready, take it inside and put it over ice, or refrigerate overnight. Then drink.
  2. Get a microwavable cup. Put in filtered water in the cup 1/2 hull and microwave until hot. Put the mint leaves and piece of lime in the water and wait 1 minute. Then fill with ice. Then enjoy.
  3. Fill a cup with filtered cold water. Add mint leaves and lime. For stronger flavor wait a couple minutes. Drink in the pure refreshment.

Thank you for sharing Janet, I am definitely; looking to cut down on the coffee intake looks like a refreshing way to enjoy a healthy alternative. Thanks.
