My name is Glenda, aka Teacup, and I have been here at WA for quite a while. A lot of things have changed since I joined. I went from a full house to an empty nest back to a full house again when I allowed a couple of young people to move into my empty rooms. Also I retired, then went back to work on a part time basis. (much less stressful job, by the way.) That gives me a little extra income and provides some structure to my day. Since I work in home health, It also gives me a sense of pleasure knowing that what I do makes life a lot easier for someone else.

During my time here, I have seen a lot of changes in WA and in online marketing in general. When I first came here the training program and community were nothing like it is now. It has grown so much and improved in almost every way possible.

Online marketing has been a passion of mine for some time, but most of that time was wasted chasing after shiny objects. They didn't seem like shiny objects though. They actually looked like necessary parts of the marketing puzzle. Let me tell you from experience that all you need to be successful in online marketing can be found right here at WA. There are all kinds of techniques, gimmicks, software and programs out there. Some are actually good but none of them are anywhere near as complete as what we have here. Most of them are like putting water in a leaky bucket. You just don't know it until after you buy it.

If any of you have “Shiny Object Syndrome” - like I did - then you may find a lot of things that will lure you away from here. However, WA has always steered me straight and I have always found my way back. In fact, it was only after I finally started applying the things that were taught here that I started making any money on a consistent basis. These days, I know better than to allow such distractions get in my way with WA.

There have been a lot of changes in online marketing in the past few years. Things that used to get you first page rankings will now get you penalized. For example, Google changes, the closing of Squidoo, and Amazon changes have been a bit tough for a lot of folks. In some cases, our marketing plans had to change course completely. Through it all, WA has kept its members up to date and informed of everything we needed to know to be able to grow our businesses.

Take it from me, life can get awfully busy at times and it is very tempting to take a lot of shortcuts. You can skip over things, if you want to, but somewhere down the line you are going to need the solid foundation that you could have had if you would have just taken the time to do things right at the beginning. Just take that time now to do things right and it will actually save you time and money.

Thank you, we are just getting started with it good. There are things all throughout the year that we can feature and we are finding loads of things to write about. I took a look at your site and I like the fact that you are being candid about your product. However, it is not clear as to whether you really believe in it or not.

When I first came to WA I was into network marketing because I believed in the product and wanted to be able to promote it better. However, I became so burned out seeing the same things happen over and over in MLM that I have no desire to ever return. In the meantime, I was learning things here that worked and it was really refreshing to learn the difference in the marketing approaches. Whatever it is you do we certainly wish you great success. All the best to you and your family.

Hello Gary and may I give you a late welcome to WA. There are a lot of things in the economy that just are not looking real great right now and looking at internet marketing is a good thing to do. You can get all the training you need here but please dig deep as sometimes people skim over the surface and miss things that they needed to know. Wish you all the best here and in life... oh, and happy valentine's day to you too.

Hi Glenda, I was on the one at the first position to the rigth http://ConquerEachNewDay.com. I have to admit I did not read all of it.

But the review of WA was very good as well as the story of the two friends - respect and courtesy is always the best way to treat people. And with a little smile all become so much easier!

And if I didn't already have Jaaxy I would have bought it based on the review with the video showing how yo use it.

There are a few messages in your profile that I have seen repeated 2 or 3 times since joining WA. So, I will take heed, be a good student and LEARN the lessons as intended, and then invest my heart and actions into a project in which I believe.

Thank you for your powerful words. They reflect how much you care.

Hi Glenda I understand Jay's problem as I have a father in the later stages of Alzheimer's and that is a 24/7 a day job plus i am taking some Udemy classes and a Six Sigma class for lean management plus a full time job. My girlfriend takes care of my dad while I'm at work. It's hard for me just replying back to all the people I follow and then reading there blogs and trying to do the training's and on top of that I'm a newbie so it can be overwhelming. I am giving myself a year to start making some kind of money and to learn. Thank you for the follow and good luck!

Hi Scott, This is my third attempt at a reply as my laptop is acting up. I can also sympathize with you in your situation as my dad was sick for the last 5 years of his life and my Mom developed Alzheimers in her later years. You do have your hands full and I hope that you do make every effort to make a success with WA. Please do not place a time limit on this as this is very doable but when you don't have the time to put in it simply takes longer. You have to work harder on concentrating on your learning and don't forget to ask questions.Take care and I wish you the very best.

Hello, Scott...

My sincere apologies for not sending this note to you earlier. Glenda is the able one who always takes care of the maintenance of this page. she did mention to me about your comment and I felt that I should personally share a few words with you as well

As you mentioned in your lovely comment, only the ones who are caregivers themselves would realize the extent of the work and the dedication that goes into it. You definitely have your hands full taking care of your beloved father. I see that you are also taking classes and holding down a full-time job. Scott, my hat is off to you for being able to do all this in a 24-hour day!

You seem like a very nice young man and I sincerely wish you and your girlfriend lots of good health and some wealth to keep you strong and energetic for a long time to come. I am certain that your Dad is proud of you both and all the things you are doing for him.

It goes without saying, Scott, that you have already found out about the joy of caregiving to someone you love and care so strongly for - otherwise it would simply be a loveless chore. I feel that in taking care of my friend, I am somehow getting so much more that I am giving... and therefore, the reason for dedicating a whole website to the... joy of caregiving.

I commend you and your girlfriend for stepping up to the plate and take care of your Dad at home rather than just leaving him in a nursing home. I pray that all of you stay happy and joyous.

Please remember to let us know if we can help in any way possible in your new online adventure with WA.

Scott, all the best to you, your Dad, and girlfriend... Jay Barnelli

You do have to keep working at it and you need to continually be learning as things change all the time. The training and support is here. Just be sure to apply it.

Hi Teacup and thanks very much for following me! I can really relate to your profile it sounds really similar to what I am going thru now--working on too many things at the same time. I am feeling the same way in that I am missing out by not focusing enough on the training available here in WA because I paid out so much money for all of these services to get going on an internet business. I have not had to go thru the loss of my husband like you did but I have lost him because he dumped me after over 30 years of marriage and is now living with another woman so I am going thru a divorce which just adds to all the stuff going on at the same time. I really want to make my business a success because it seems like I have had nothing but loss over the past 3 years.
I am happy to see that you have come back to WA and have figured out how to proceed and take advantage of all that is WA. It very nice to meet you!

Hello Barbara,
It is so nice to meet you here. I am so sorry for what you are having to go through. I have been able to have some closure but that must be very difficult for you. It would be good for you to simply focus on the training here and leave everything else alone at least for a while. You will get all the basics that you need and also will be able to progress into some advanced stuff without hardly realizing what you are doing. It is just one step at a time.

There is no way that you can get through all the training here and be done. That is because there is extensive training being created all the time by Jay, Kyle and Carson and by other members on here as well. Most other programs have a limit to what they can teach and you can learn. A lot of them even teach outdated methods. When an outdated method is found here it is either updated or deleted. You can thank Kyle and Carson for their diligence there.

I wish you well and please feel free to contact me at any time. If I am slow to answer please understand that I am not on here everyday as I am busy working on projects but I do check back. Take care.

I love your site and left a comment. I really do hope that you continue with this. There is a real need for people to have the compassion along with hands on help. You found a way to do that even from a distance. I'll bet that there are women's groups who would like to use your idea to work as volunteer's for hospital's and doctor's offices to make some of your creations.

Your site itself could use a little work. A little proofreading will find an error or two but that is not bad. You probably can find them on all of our sites. Just keep going with the training. I am looking forward to seeing what you put out next.

Hello Glenda,

I was very impressed with your bio and could feel the PASSION and LOVE you have for WA. If we could ALL take advantage from your mistakes we would all achieve faster.

I had found my niche which I had thought about putting a web page together. Then my bubble broke last evening after finding out that the company is not longer making the product.
I have this product and it was the best of all other products on the market. Now, I'm looking for another niche. I am looking for something
different, not just anything. It might take me longer to get into the market.

I was so sorry to hear about loosing your husband. I am glad you are slowly finding your way back and connecting again. It does take time and the time has to be right for you.

You are a beautiful women! I look forward to connecting with you again.

Hi Lora,

Thanks for taking the time to read my bio. I am glad if it has helped you some. Life can be difficult at times but it is for all of us. I am not alone in that. I do love this place. Kyle and Carson have gone way above what most would have done to create the best place for people to learn and grow. This is a place of continual improvement. If you stick around a while you will see what I mean.

You will find many niches as you go along. I pray that you find just the right one to get started on. Take care and thanks for connecting.

Hi, Glenda!

Thanks for the follow.

My name is also Glenda. What a coincidence!

It seems to me you are very knowledgeable, and your comment about WA being complete confirms what I had been thinking. It isn't 'now that you have this, yagottahave'...and after that, 'now yagottahave something else'. It appears to be one signup, and done, with no need to pursue other things all over the internet.
So I am beginning here with increased confidence.

I am, like you, less than enthusiastic about changes in the Internet/IT world. What if Stradivarius the violin maker had introduced the Strad7, followed by the Strad10...and decided to have 6 or 8 strings on some models, or moved the E string to the left a couple of notches and put the D and G to the right of it on new models, just for fun? How many violins would he have sold? Would there ever have been any great violinists? How many aspiring violinists would have learned to play at all, and how many people would have said "To !@#$% with this!"???

But since we have to work with Google, Amazon, Microsoft, et al., as they are and not as they would be in an ideal world, it is reassuring to learn from you that WA will keep us abreast with current changes and help us deal with them.

Thank you, again, and I look forward to staying in touch with you.

Hi again Glenda,
Yes, we do need to keep in touch. It sounds as though you are very musical. I know that there is a singer out there with my name. That would not happen to be you would it? Wish you well in all your online endeavors.

Hi, Glenda!

Thanks for your support!

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not the singer. I'm actually the daughter of a violinist, and my young cousins are musicians as well. During elementary and high school I played the violin and flute, but after that I turned my attention to more practical pursuits and never returned to music, except for picking up a tin whistle from time to time and having fun with that. It's never too late, of course; you never can tell what may happen now that I'm retired.

At present I look forward to seeing what develops with WA.

Hello Glenda,
I don't really know how I came to your page ... I was browsing along ... and then I saw that kindly face as if to say, "you want to listen to my story?".
You have a natural ability to "attract" like minded people .. to draw out the best in them, to allow them to stay focus in what they wanted to
establish and succeed.
The greater part, is that you are a silent leader ... share your experiences with the W.A. community, we need you!
Many Blessings.

Cheers.

Reply

In my own opinion WA is worth every cent. I don't know what your other program was but most of them out there don't stay up to date and can lead you astray. Don't allow yourself to become overwhelmed. Just take it one day at a day and one lesson at a time. When you don't understand something or need more help, just call out. There is always someone in chat or who will answer a question soon. Best wishes to you.

Hi Teacup! I enjoyed reading your updated profile. You have
Stuck with WA inspite of road blocks and challenges. That says a lot about your determination. The one thing I keep reading is patience, patience, patience. As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day. At times it gets frustrating trying to learn everything that is being made available to us here at WA. The great thing is, it's always available to go back and re-read, as many times as it may take. Then the community is always there to lend a helping hand. There are so many different programs out there that it gets tempting to jump on their "band wagon" with all the promises of instant money. The one thing I have learned over the many, many years of trying one thing after another, most of those programs are just blowing smoke and I have vowed to keep my eyes focused on WA and wa only! I wish you great success and thank you for sharing. Blessings to you!

I couldn't agree more! I'm new but I've alrealdy learned that shortcuts are fraught with roadblocks and end up taking more of your time than if you hadn't gone that route! I figure that by taking one lesson at a time I'll end up with a well rounded WA education.

Thanks for the Follow, Glenda. Back atcha! You mentioned taking shortcuts when you were short on time and then going back later to fill in the blanks. I actually think that is a very good strategy. In fact, I think it's a Success Principle, a trait that separates those who succeed and those who don't. It shows a bias towards action.

Most of us would stop when we're busy and set aside our dream, you know...until life settles down. Guess what?...it never does! You did a very smart thing. You kept moving, even though you had to adjust your original plan for training. You took action, and filled in the blanks later.

I wish you well in your personal and your business life.

Glenda,
i found you looking for Compliance issues that have been blogged about in the WA community. Compliance is extremely importance and I suspect that many WA members are not aware of the FTC Regs that need to be followed and if they are aware, they have not taken action to be complaint in their business practices.

Glad to to see that you plan to update your sites. I am just getting started but "best practices" and compliance are high on my list. I will send over any information that I feel would be relevant going forward.

Reading your "About Me", it seems that we have the same philosophical approach to business building.

Take care,

If you sign up for premium , then you can,t go back to the stArter account. You can always unsubscribe if it is not for you. If you find that you cannot afford premium, you can cancel and comeback when you can. It is up to you. For me it is worth it. Hope this helps some.

Hi - I can add that I am Tea-leaf - my hubby has had this as one of my nicknames for 20 years (it is because I stew or what I hope to think as mull) on things, then I want to talk about them weeks and months later....lol

Thank you! Any time you need something let me know. If I can't help I will try to point you to someone who can. By the way, I love both coffee and tea. Lately though I have had to switch to the decaffeinated versions as I suppose I just had too much of it. (grin)
