Top Marketing Influencers: A Gigantic List
In any industry you plan to be very serious about, it's important to immerse yourself inside. One great way to do that is by getting to know the industry influencers, studying them, and learning from their experiece in the field.
My Story
Just a few short years back, I was active duty in the Air Force. My career field was Public Health. To be very good at that career field, our flight would have on-the-job training every first Thursday and several professional development certifications we were required to maintain several times per year. In addition to that, we had several tests to take to prove our skill level and qualify for rank.
Every thing from Foodborne Illness to Entomology, Emergency Response, and so on, we had to take hours of training on it. I learned about the importance of professional development thru the military, and in order to be the best in this field, it's important to apply those principles of committed, ongoing professional development to contiue on the path to improvement in this field.
Independant Entrepreneurs vs. Corporate Marketers
As an independant Entrepreneur, you may or may not have accountability like what I had in the Air Force, or what most corporate professionals have. As a result, people tend to be very lax. They don't advance themselves comparable to others who have goals, accountability and discipline. They may never get certifications, and if they do, they might be few and far between. They may not be practicing their trade by daily flexing of the muscle, and it's important to practice.
Business (even when you get more granular and talk about Online Business) is a gigantic topic comparable to Medicine or Engineering. You have to understand Psychology, Coywriting, Master a Written Language, Sales, Marketing Tools, Analytics, Business, and so much more. The Top Marketing Influencers in our field are very disciplined content creators. Most have every content type and several searchable forms of it. They're creating massive value in multiple genres from Mindset to Entrepreneurship, Health to Relationships, but they didn't get that way overnight.
They took babystep by babystep and have created Billions (maybe even trillions) of net worth. Our industry is on the top 10 richest in the world! Online Business is a powerful industry!
Newbies vs. Established Marketers
When starting out in marketing, it's common to look at the top marketing influencers and to try to be like them or try to do what they do. It's okay to be inspired by them or to say, "I want to be like them one day". Unfortunately, many of the top marketing influencers have been creating content or learning about how to influence the industry for 10 or more years.
While we may be able to arrive where they are faster than they did thru mentorship and study, we shouldn't compare our beginnings to their middle or ends. They had a beginning too, and they probably never thought they would be where they are now when they first started out, but simply thru discipline, practice, and commitment, look where you can arrive!
The best thing for newer entrepreneurs to do is to learn from them, learn from their influencers, and make it your own. Enjoy the ride as you grow towards mastery, help others with your level of expertise and attempt at being as helpful as possible.

- Established reputations with more than half of the world's populations
- Quite a few "Rags to Riches" stories which means they overcame common constraints like little budgets and little time

No problem. O like some things about Tim Ferris, but I think his 4 hour work week idea misled a lot of people into believing you don't need a work ethic. Do you think he's fixed that perception?

Hello RoopeshG! I'm glad you enjoyed reading! I agree with you about the potential in this industry. It's in the forefront of world reach. The internet is faster than an airplane and even faster than a phone line nowadays, so once you learn how to use it, there's billions of people that can be impacted. This is good and bad (depending on personal intent).
I've been studying this list of people for years and I think if you started today and decided to read or listen to every piece of content, it would take years to complete, and the compilation of their content is like a gold mine.
