My WA Chronicles to Date
Sooooo .... here I am on this odyssey called affiliate marketing with what to this point, has turned out to be a terrific outfit to work with, namely: Wealthy Affiliate!
Presently, I am on the 2nd course and have completed 30 of 35 assignments. Nearly ready to dive into course #3. So far I have found the process relatively easy, even with zero prior knowledge to this world of IT type work and online marketing.
One thing that trips me up occasionally is the fact that Kyle, in the demonstration videos, is using an upgraded platform to us beginners, so some things that he is pointing out and clicking on, aren't part of my version. But I get past it with a little searching.
Two other points I would like to mention, and I imagine they will be addressed as I get further along, is #1 - I noticed the website that we have created is not a secure site. And #2 - the bigger picture for me has never really been spelled out, or I missed it, that being how exactly does writing blogs and post them on our website equate to affiliate sales? Will there be links added to the text of the blogs for people to click on? As I said, I'm sure all will be revealed soon - these are just some thoughts I've been whirling around in my brain with all the other tidbits of newly found info.
Now you may be wondering what my chosen niche is. Well here it is ........ drum roll ...... braces for health. In other words, various braces used for support, correction, rehab etc. Knee and ankle braces, elbow and wrist braces, back braces - you get the picture ;)
As of today Mar. 26, 2019, I have published 5 posts and have enjoyed the process, especially researching and installing images amongst the text.
I know this program as a whole is built upon "marathon mentality", however I would like to start out with a "sprint" (or as close as possible) to get this up, running (pun intended), and working for me asap. Once the mad dash is over, I will settle into a more sustained pace and build for the future.
Having said that, if I can get a couple hundred ££'s/month rolling in by the end of June, I will be wildly encouraged, and set my sights on the £1,000/month mark for the end of the year.
A favorite saying I love - "I'm living in the largest room in the world - room for improvement"!

Hi - if your site is not secure, you need to switch on your SSL Certificate using Site Manager.
You are progressing well...all will be revealed, just trust in the system. You will start to add links once you have enough posts for affiliate programs to want your site. You see blogging posts/content is the key to success. The big picture simply put is: search engines make money from giving info. They rate/rank sites by how good the info you supply to traffic wanting that info. Affiliate programs also want well informed sites with a potential to gain trust from traffic to give you and them the sales. No content = no traffic = no sales = no affiliate programs want you = no ranking by search engines. That's why most people start seeing earnings when they have enough content to draw the crowd.

Congratulations Tom on your website. I had deleted mine because until now haven't decide my niche. I make again another website but it's empty I don't know what I will put.

As for your website - I think it's just fine to delete it if it doesn't feel right. Finding the right niche can be a process sometimes, and even what seems as a setback or failure, will have a learning element to it. Mistakes help us grow and see the way forward - a process of elimination.
Stay with it, but don't force it. Let it come naturally, and just like that ...... THE perfect idea(s) will flow to you.

A lot of things coming into my mind. Did some research but I cannot decide yet.
When we're right in the middle of it all, sometimes it's hard to see the other side.
It will all go through you're filtering process, and give you one result in the end that will make sense ;)
