Everything Takes Time - 6 Months It Seems

6 months.

From what I've read online in multiple articles and sources, the average time it takes to make some real money is about 6 months (of course it can vary from 3 months to even a year).

I'm a hard worker and have always had the mindset that if I learn enough and work hard enough, maybe even find out the perfect strategy, I could speed up the process of "success."

It seems as though the internet and affiliate marketing is not much different from the real world business because IT TAKES TIME.

From what I read, there's nothing I can do to speed up the process due to Google Sandbox strategy for weeding out bad quality websites and so on.

  • So, I'll continue to post about 3 to 4 articles a week and push toward the 6 month mark

I've been overworking myself (as usual when it comes to new projects), but after this research, I've found that its of no use. It just takes time and success will come.

What's your opinion? Or do you have any advice?

For now, I'll continue to work hard and exercise patience. I can do that.

Chase

Hi Chase,
It's like the good old saying, "Buid it and they will come."
James

I forgot about that quote. But it truly applies in this case. Thank you for sharing a bit of wisdom. It is spot on -

I am right there with you but will continue to work at it good luck to you

Too true - work, work, work - hard work always pays off right!

Right!

You've got it right - success online doesn't happen overnight. Glad that you appreciate that concept, as it will serve you well as you build something which will be permanent. Hang in there, it's worth it!

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! "Success" seems to always be accompanied with "patience." I think most of us fall into the trap of thinking online avenues are different haha.

Sadly I've seen so many people fall for the "become an internet millionaire overnight" ruse. Luckily WA is not anything like that. But yeah, it's hard work, just like anything that's worth it is.

Success does not come immediately, as you said - it is a process, process of creating and developing. No point to push, we just need to work, be consistent, constructive, and creative (oh.. it looks like 3Cs). But we have to lead normal life... don't delay life after reaching a success. Life is happening today. We have to balance all the processes and make every day of our life interesting, busy and enjoyable.

I tend to lean toward a workaholic's lifestyle - which isn't good. Determination is good, but too much can lead to an unhealthy mentality!

I appreciate you always chiming in and helping me think through things. Thank you for the advice on "the 3 C's!" and I'll keep working (in a healthy manner of course!). Appreciate your words of encouragement.

Hi Chase i think your right, its well worth taking your time ,its not
something you can rush,so much to take in.
all the best
Rodger

Appreciate the encouragement Rodger. We all just have to continue working hard!

Internet and affiliate marketing is the real business world. Building a business doesn't happen overnight.

People lose sight of what they are doing when they move into the online world.

They want success in a month, but the very same people spent 4 years in school getting and education and earning no revenue, to hopefully get subpar job.

The same people spent $100,000's on an offline business, and likely never saw any return on it.

But people want to immediately see success, because the internet feels instant I suppose. Those people will never succeed online...those that are willing to give their BUSINESS time, are those that will create a long term and very successful business online.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share some advice.

I'm definitely one of those people who spent 7+ years in school and tried to run an offline business (with no promise of growth after 2 years). The problem was I chose classical music as my niche.

But it's very encouraging to hear from a co-founder of WA. Reading your success story and so many others here seems to prove my ROI will improve greatly in time - as long as my work is consistent and high-quality in another niche other than "music."

Thank you, Kyle. I owe you a lot for all that you've helped create here at WA.

I definitely agree with your input.
