I'm writing an eBook on staying safe and secure online, I've written 5 pages on just about using smartphones. I've got quite a few topics listed I want to cover so I'm just won
As long as it's relevant complete information and as long as it is fun to read, it could be 1000 words, it could 350, 000 words. Just make sure you get 1 or 2 people to read it, proofread it before releasing it. Just because you understand it or you find it fun to read, doesn't the rest of the world will. As Kyle always says, write for the readers', not yourself. It sounds interesting and kudos to you taking action.
To give you an example here. I had a website about dogs. I had a friend read the #1 ranked site in my niche on their take on how to make a dog sit (1108 words) then read mine (2469 words! I know) My friend had no idea which was which and mine came out on top just because of the writing style which was more fun to read, they couldn't stop reading. Hope this helps.
I have one that is 20 pages long, and another that will exceed 220 pages. I don't think the length is important as long as it covers the subject you intend to present to your audience.
Ive just published one that was 3,000 words and the one im working on is nearly double that and i havent even finished, as long as you have covered everything that you need to in the book then its finished when you think its ready. Its pointless trying to add to it if it doesnt make sense.

Writing my first ebook - how long is too long?

Thanks for the helpful responses, I've now got over 5,000 words written over 14 pages and 5 topics covered.
I have 5 more topics to go over so I'm likely looking at 10,000 words for this thing!
