Want to be Happy - be Grateful
Many times I neglect posting a new blog because so often these days I am in a learning mode. Always trying to learn how to improve my efforts at success.
Then there are times like today that in researching a topic I come across something that causes a light to turn on in my brain. It is one of those moments where all of a sudden I think "I get it now."
Today I ran across a video on YouTube that is titled "Want to be Happy? Be Grateful."
Everyone wants to be happy. It is a common thread that binds us all. We seek success out of a desire to be happy. We want to help others along the way, which makes us feel good about ourselves, to be happy, to feel as if we are contributing to society. We want to enjoy life our way; we want to be happy.
How is being grateful linked to being happy? I would love to tell you that I understand it completely but to be honest I only understand it because this gentleman explained it. So let me encourage you to watch the video, "Want to be Happy? Be Grateful."
Take 15 minutes out of your schedule and see if this does or doesn't make a difference.
Then let me know in the comments. I would love to hear your thoughts or experiences.
Then have a blessed day and get back to you work enjoying every moment on your journey :>)

Hi Ray,
I agree, gratitude is so important to our well being. When we are grateful, we are happy, content and by definition of the word, thankful for what we have.
Being grateful is a big part of why we strive for success and although it almost contradicts itself, it is the reason we continue wanting to be successful. We need more and more success to be grateful for, and when we have more gratitude, it makes us more able to deal with it.
Thanks Ray,
Best wishes, Rob.
Hi Ray,
Good article.
It is much easier to be grateful than having a negative mind set.
We sometimes fail to see the good things around us and what we have instead of complaining about what we don't have.

Yes be grateful to what you have and what the things that you have done to progress in Wealthy Affiliate. Be grateful and we will be happy. 😁😁😁😁👍💪👏😊😊😊
Hi Henry. Yes I find that it is too easy to complain about lack of progress but when you sit back and think about it there is much to be thankful for, I have come a long way since the time I started.
Thanks again for stopping by and commenting.

The more grateful you are, the more you have to be grateful for. If you are in a state of gratitude then you are happy.
You tend not to be grateful if you are angry or sad.
Having said that happiness really does come from within and it is a choice.
You can also be happy most of the time. The sort of happiness where it just bubbles up randomly and you want to laugh out loud for the sheer joy of living. It can come from nowhere or can be sparked by nature, a beautiful day, the first cup of green tea in the morning, a small grandchild throwing themselves into my arms with exuberance or an older one hugging extra tight. And so many more things.
Oooops, sorry for the waffling.
I think the older I get the more grateful I am. Thanks Alfred for sharing your thoughts. Have a blessed week.

Hi Ray,
Well done.
As a Believer, I know that gratitude helps in no small way to lighten ones spirit.
When one expresses gratitude, you are focussing on positive things. Positive minds are always happy.
Having a positive approach does not mean that there are no challenges, a positive mind will rather concentrate on the good ones.
I hope our minds will be liberated to embrace the joy of the Lord that is beyond human comprehension.
Have a good time.

Equal respect would be awesome in the world! He has great hopes for a grateful world. Very altruistic of him. It would be nice if it was that simple.
Hi William, thanks for your thoughts. I too wish our world would be better but for the moment I am just learning to be thankful.
Blessings
