Sharing Your WebsiteSocial Media Links within WA
Watching the webinar "building an audience beyond google" I realized that there more ways to connect and draw traffic to your websites other than SEO. They may not be huge but I realized they can make a difference.
I know you cannot add your website link on a blog here - that is a no-no. But there is a place for you to share your website and social media links within this great community.
On your profile page on the right-hand side bar there is a place to add links it is called, "Follow Me On". Just scroll all the way down and you will see there is a place to add your links.
We all came to WA because of our curiosity! We read about something that causes us to think, "that is perfect for me". So often I am curious about members websites and social media links and would like to see how they are doing, in most cases I want to learn how other people are setting up their sites, and in some cases their niche is one that may contain products I normally buy elsewhere. So I go to their profile and look and behold they have not listed their websites. That is discouraging.
Please share your websites, etc in your profile
From my point of view if someone is taking the time to research things that I buy anyways I would rather support my fellow WA members instead of going outside the community. There is a wealth of information that is being shared through WA. We should connect with each other on social media and send traffic their way through stopping by their websites now and then.
If you want your site to be secret then don't add it to your profile, but I for one would not feel bad if someone from WA stopped by and read a post. And I sure wouldn't feel bad if they were given an idea just from my progress.
This is such a sharing community that I feel that if we all added these links it would build even more community strength. I learn from others, and maybe you might be able to learn something from me...

Hi Ray. I like having people's websites on their profile because I like to know what my friends are doing, and sometimes I'm looking for something and want to throw my business their way. I have my own on my profile. I don't do much with social media,though, so don't have that info on my profile. I know I will need to be active on social media eventually, but am still dragging my feet about it at the moment. Too much going on in my life that needs my immediate attention to worry about small details like that!
Thanks for commenting Carol. I am like you, and don't mind sending business to other members. I do a lot of dragging my feet too, guess it comes from many years of putting off the good for the easy. Hope all the best for you as you move forward.

I agree -- I have my web addresses at the bottom of my profile. I think sharing our websites is a good idea.

Is it just for websites or can we add social media links such as Twitter and Instagram etc?
You can add your social media links as well Linda. Just go to your social media page, highlight and copy and paste that URL into the ADD LINKS section.

I would love to see other websites, and have a good read. Maybe buy a product through their links!
What about other stuff we may be a member of, say an online store, that has great products other people in WA may be interested in using. Is there a way to share something like that with the community? Just curious
If you look under the profile of the people you are following you will see if they have left their website addresses. You can leave your website details and your online store details under your profile so people can have a look if they are interested. Only people following you will be able to see this information, so it helps to build up a high following. Hope this answers your question. One great thing you can do is if you look at someones website leave a comment for them, this helps to boost it in Google. Have a good day, Denise.
