Doing Your Best - In Season and Out

I thought of this phrase today, it is about being determined to do good in all seasons, good, bad and everything in between.

Part of my duties as a pastor is officiating at marriage ceremonies. I love doing them. But this past week I was suffering from a bad arthritis flare-up with my hip. Walking or standing was not an option. So I performed the ceremony on crutches. I promised this couple I would be there for them, so I did it.

Don't get me wrong, this is not to ring my bell so that you would take notice of me. This is about being dedicated to do what I promised I would do no matter what.

Everyone here at WA has some sort of goal in mind; it is your reason for being here. We have gathered here because we want something that we don't have. It is a common belief that through the training and help here we can SUCCEED.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news - But, whatever it is that we want will in fact require dedication. It will come at a cost and that cost is DEDICATION to keep working at our goal no matter how we feel OR how well we are actually achieving.

"The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand". (Vince Lombardi)

Dedication does not give up, it keeps going in season and out of season. If you are not dedicated to reaching your goal, you will probably fail or just give up and move on.

WA is most definitely the place to be if you have a dream or a goal to do something more with your life than just exist. But this is not a get-rich-quick thing.

I have witnessed some start and begin to make money pretty quick, but these seem to be the exception to the rule. I love to hear those stories where someone started and withing a short time began earning money. I hope to hear even more in the future. But the reality is that you are going to have to work harder here than that 9-5 job with a guaranteed pitiful paycheck.

In order to succeed you must be dedicated to achieve.

  • Willing to try anything at least once, to back up and reinvent yourself occasionally.
  • Willing to keep trying even when you don't feel like it today, even if you feel like a failure.
  • What ever you have to do to succeed, let your effort be guided by your dedication.

Anything is possible through WA but you must put in the work in season and out.

I felt the need to share this today in the hope that it will help someone out there struggling to keep on even when things are not looking good. Be dedicated to do whatever you can to achieve that goal that you have set before you.

Anything is possible to those who try in season and out of season. Give it your best and then give some more. Here's to your success.

Please leave a comment would love to hear back from you.

Blessings,

Ray

I must say I put in a lot more hours working for myself compared to working a nine-to-five job. But I enjoy the work so much more.

So true Mick. Thank you for commenting I always enjoy the feedback.

Dedication -- a big word. It is not always easy to stay dedicated, but we need to try to do so if we want the elusive success.

I know Fran, success seems elusive yet I believe it comes to those who stay dedicated to achieve. Thanks for commenting too, always good to hear back from others.

I have more doubt lately but trying to hush those voices. Keep on keeping on - one step in front of the other. Thank you for sharing I enjoyed your post of insight.

Oh those thoughts that bring doubt, always seem to try to cause us to give up on our goals. You have to fight them, keep trying even if it is just a small step in the right direction. Thank you for your kind comments too.

Your welcome Debra. I hope to be feeling better soon, this has happened before and it just takes time and patience to allow the body to heal.

Thank you for this Ray. I know I can succeed at this affiliate marketing gig. But having a family who need me means that progress is slow and I have to remind myself constantly that slow and steady wins the race and to not give up.
Thank you for your blog post. I’m saving it for when I need some inspiration!

Hi Anna, It's is a balancing act, we want to put in the time yet what good is it if we neglect our family. You are so right, slow and steady will win the race. Keep up the faith.
