At a Crossroad on My Journey

Good morning friends. I am at a crossroad on my journey here at WA.

I have been a part of this community for almost three years and I have grown to love this site for many reasons.

  • There is so much help available for anyone who wants to make something of their life. It doesn't matter who you are or how long you have been around, you can find encouragement and help for whatever you need to further your goal.
  • It is a positive environment that rarely gets caught up in politics, religion, or nationality, but instead focuses on the needs of others.
  • If you are looking to improve your financial situation by building your own business online than there is no better place to find.

I am not able to work at this full time. I have a ministry that takes up much of my time and it is a priority in my life and that will not change for the foreseeable future. So I have little time available to focus on building a business.

This is my struggle; my crossroad I face--

Should I renew my membership for another year?

While my two websites are progressing, lately I have lost interest and have not put in the effort necessary to see real growth.

It could be that I am in the slumps because of the strain of this Corona virus and politically charged crazy environment. In any case I am looking for help to decide what to do next.

Maybe someone can say the magic word that will turn my mind around.

When I think about it, this site has so often brought hope and encouragement for many areas of my life.

When the nation shut down and our churches closed I found a way to record my messages so that even when the church did not meet together the ministry did not suffer.

Plus, all the people I have met and learned from. People from all walks of life and every part of the world. This has been a good source to get outside of my own little world and I have learned so much about the world.

I found out that we are all alike in many ways no matter what area of the world we live in, and that likeness is something to rejoice in.

There are so many ways that I have grown thanks to WA that I find it hard to just say goodbye.

I don't know what I will do, I am at a crossroad.

I don't know why I wrote the blog post other than in the hope that someone will say something that will ring the bell in my head and cause a light to go on shining towards the right path.

I do enjoy hearing all of your stories so thank so much for all the difference you have made in my life.

Have a blessed week ahead and thanks for letting me speak.

Hi Ray,

I totally understand your concerns.
The COVID -19 pandemic has caused so much heartache & disruption to all our lives, wherever you are in this world.

It is difficult to stay motivated & positive.

I consider WA my family, & although I am not as active as some, I learn & gain so much here.

I wish you well Ray, I hope you will continue to be part of the WA Family.

Denis

Hello Ray,
I posted this article a couple of weeks ago: Regaining the old enthusiasm and purpose/goals is a tough one when you don't see the reasons for them.

We do have to have solid reasons for doing something. When those reasons disappear and become blurred for any reason, we have to re group.

The best to you here at WA and beyond.

Joe

Thanks Joe, I appreciate your input on this. At the moment my mind is thinking more about regrouping than just out and out leaving.
Have a blessed week
Ray

Thanks for the response Ray. Yep, regrouping has to be an option at all times.

Joe

Hi Ray,

It seems to be, from what you say, that perhaps you're simply feeling 'down' what with all the coronavirus concerns, and political unrest.

As finances and available time are not of concern in renewing your membership, how about continuing with WA for the next year anyway, and share how you're feeling with your followers. So many of us feel as though the rug has been pulled from under us, though there is comfort in knowing that we're not alone.

Sharing your faith, as well as your low times, will surely be a salve to the soul for so many of us...

Whatever you decide, I wish you the very best.

Lesley

Hi Lesley, what you say is making sense as I consider my path forward.
Thank you so much for stopping by and adding thought to this conversation.
I am leaning toward a renewal but with a new emphasis with new goals and plans for the future.
Have a blessed week ahead.
Ray

Well Ray maybe somebody can take over your sites it's a shame all that work you put into them are wonderful sites.

Benjamin Franklin when in a quandary as to which decision to make use to take a piece of paper and run a line down the middle at the top of the paper he would write a positive on one side and a negative on the other.
Now if the negatives added up to more than the positives he would not go thru with the idea!

Ray I'am pretty sure if you do this you will find that you have more positives.
Good luck in your decision🥰😎👌

Hi John, thanks for sharing some more great thoughts on this blog.
I always appreciate the encouragement and help in this community that is an overriding positive.
Have a blessed week ahead.
Ray

Ditto😎👌

Hi Ray, it’s a tough situation when you care, but follow you mind and talk with your higher power for guidance.

Renew for a year is a blessing, because you can be absent for a while and come back, if its a brake you need to sought things out, beside, you mention that your sites are progressing, why give it up now!

Stay bless.

Elizabeth

Always appreciate hearing from you Elizabeth. I haven't given it much consideration up to this point, just coasting along.
But I want to make a wise decision where I either stop procrastinating and put in what time I have or just give it up.
Doing a lot of praying.
Thanks for your input.
Ray

You’re welcome. Hope it all work out.l

Elizabeth

It will.
