Slow Progress On New Website

So as many of you know, I started a new website and moving some of the content from my older website to the new one. It has been slow progress.

I am copying and then pasting it into the new website. I have also been redoing some of the images as they looked crappy on the older site. So I am averaging about 1 a day. At this rate I MAY have it finished by the first of the year:)

Shannon @Jaz333 mentioned importing and exporting but would have to put all the posts I want to move into 1 category but not sure how to do this regarding redirecting. (there are a total of over 30 articles that I want to move)

I did manage to write a new article for the older site as I plan on keeping it as well. And I have the research done for another one.

I think I have bitten off more than I can chew:(

The garden produce has slowed some so found some time today and moved 1 article and another 1 in draft. The second one I just need to add the images and then publish. Of course, then I have to add the redirection. It's a process for sure.

I want to get the moving done so that I can redo my mess of a menu on the older site.

Bear with me, I am writing down my frustrations hoping that I can get it all figured out.

My other nemesis is keyword research. I have read Partha's posts over and over again and it is just not sinking in.

I have heard that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. (But I don't believe it)

I can do this. I know I can. I know I can. I know I can.

If I keep telling myself this maybe it will happen. NO, It will happen.

I just need to get out of my "poor me" state of mind and make it happen.

Funny thing, I had a dream last night that I had 117 visitors to my older site. When I checked this morning I had 17. That's it. But I thought the number 17 was kinda ironic.

I know I should have way over that number of visitors. My older site is over a year old for crying out loud so I know I need to get things figured out. and improve my keyword research.

If you have read this far I applaud you. Just thought if I just sat down and wrote all my frustrations it would help somehow. I hope so anyway.

Here's to better days!

Tai

You WILL get there. You already have a plan of upgrading 1 post a day , so stick with your plan.
You will learn a lot along the way as well.
Try semrush for keywords as well. Keep looking until you find something that you are comfortable with. Partha’s are great but can be a bit “ deep “ in the explanation. But good stuff nonetheless. Also look at fatjoes for long tail keywords.

Thank you. I sure hope so. I did manage to get 2 more articles moved today.

Thanks great!

Slow and steady wins the race, Tai!

Take a few days off and you will return to it with renewed vigor.

It’s not rocket science. It just takes time and persistence. 😎

Thank you so much for the encouragement.

Enjoy the weekend, Tai! 😊

Thank you and you as well.
I have actually been invited to an event tomorrow evening. Chili cook-off and hamburgers on the grill.
I think I'm going to take a peach cobbler.

That sounds excellent, Tai! 👍

Enjoy it, You deserve it!! 😎

I've been reading Partha's articles too and I've been trying to figure them out. I'm making progress on it slowly. Hope your new website comes together well and good luck!

Thank you!

Hang in there, Tai! You'll get everything accomplished that you want to in due time!
