Google Infrastructure Update - You Will Get Indexed By Google Eventually
I have never been so happy in my life to see the below message come up. To have my articles being indexed by Google within hours or at max a couple of days has become a luxury I got used to. Then suddenly bam, Google stopped indexing my articles (for a particular website of mine) and I thought there must be a mysterious problem with my site.
As a result I have spent many hours investigating why my articles are not getting indexed by Google having numerous conversations with my theme developer support, WA support as well as All In One SEO plugin support and no one seems to have any answers.
The reason no one had any answers was because in fact nothing was wrong. It seems that me suddenly having had to wait for a month believe it or not for my url to get indexed is due to Google updating their infrastructure, or so I came to understand from some other members here.
However, despite them telling me that Google are having some issues at the moment with indexing, no one seems to have had the extreme wait times I had to endure of a month before getting indexed (talking about an established website), which really had me concerned.
This was incredibly frustrating as I was promoting new product launches and by the time Google decides to index my articles the lauch is over lol and I wasted all of that time writing blog articles for nothing as it is not getting indexed on time.
I then had to come up with an alternative plan while having indexing issues and made use of YouTube instead to drive sales until the problem is fixed.
Take away message
Don't stress out if you are experiencing what I experienced and waste a lot of time searching for solutions in regards to why your articles are not getting indexed. Google just seems to be experiencing some issues atm and due to them updating their infrastructure it takes much longer than usual to get indexed (for some this seems to be the case at least).
Some members here mentioned that Google stated that it will probably take them a couple of weeks to complete the update of their infrastructure and hopefully this will be a good thing for WA members in regards to Google indexing and article rank. Fingers crossed!

It's been weeks, almost a month now, since I received an email saying that my content got indexed. I have posts that have been out over a month an nothing.
17 posts I have create in the past month have not been indexed yet.
I'm just waiting, and creating more content to be indexed lol.

Wow you write a lot of articles quickly haha. I feel much better about the situation now knowing I am not alone. 17 articles not indexed yet is quite brutal by the big G.
Hi Schalk, thank you for the information. I have 7 posts waiting to get indexed by google. Usually it takes a day, or within a week, but now I just got to wait and hope.

This is a copy of a message I sent to site support four days ago.
"Good morning.
I now have 65 posts on my website. However, nine of them are still not showing the 'indexed by google' badge.
Of the nine, some are older than one year, and also my last four posts are not indexed (up to one month old)
Can you help me understand this? Are they actually indexed by Google or not?
If yes, why is the badge in site content not showing they are indexed?
Is this something I need to fix, and if so, how do I fix this problem?

Site support have replied saying a more senior team member will look into it for me..... so still waiting for an answer.
Frustrating, to say the least, but as you say, keep writing content as I'm sure the problem will be resolved.

I feel better and better reading everyones comments here. Not in a bad way of course, but just knowing it is not just a "me" problem certainly helps.
I am glad I did this post as it can sometimes feel that it is just you experiencing this as when I create articles for new product launches it is the most frustrating thing to see my competitors indexed almost straight away and here I am waiting a month lol and by then the product launch is over.
That is why the situation forced me to currently compete via YouTube for new product launches until the matter is resolved.
I think it is a super good idea to just continue to write and write and write despite no indexing. Google must give recognition to those signals sooner or later and it can only be a good thing.
Still incredibly frustrating to say the very least.
And wow, you have some articles older than a year that are still not indexed? Mmm that surely does not sound normal to me.

Update: I have justt tried to index my latest article via Google search console.
They checked it and then the message read "Search Console is currently not receiving indexing requests" or words to that effect.

Yes, exactly. This is disabled until their infrastructure is updated. The news out there seems to be that hopefully this will all be sorted within a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed!
Ps. This is what I have heard others say. Not got the news straight from Google itself Hopefully they did lol 😂
