I've been working on a new site for the past few days~~I've deleted my images and re-added them~~I even deleted the whole post ~~but every time I add images and click the previe

Hi Swein. I am certainly no expert but I wonder if the image sizes need to be adjusted. I think Kyle goes over this in more detail in Getting Started Course 2 Lesson 5. Hopefully that helps.

thank you~~ I appreciate it

I had a lot of frustrations early on with images and then created a training based off of what I learned. Maybe it would be of help to you: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/tips-tricks-with-adding-images

Thank you~~I'm going to go watch the training~~I have all of my content ready to publish but having so much trouble with images

They can be finicky and I totally understand the frustrations. If you need any more help just give me a shout then.

I went back and watched Kyle's video again and also took notes--then I read all of your training as well--I'm still having the same issues and I don't know how to fix it --here's the link if maybe you can check it out for me---If made sure the images title had dashes, used the alt text, clicked none to link it to somewhere, and I made the images smaller by choosing medium--I have no clue what I'm doing wrong http://howiquitmyboss.siterubix.com (under what is affiliate marketing)

I think what it is coming down to is where your cursor is placed when you insert the image. That is the most important part of getting them placed correctly.

I always put the cursor either at the beginning or a paragraph or at the beginning of a heading when aligning the image to the right. To put an image between two paragraphs, I put the cursor at the end of the first paragraph and hit enter to get it between the two and then insert image.

Does that make sense to you?

Yes that does make sense~~but I think I figured out what is going on~~I have a profile on IBO Toolbox~~this was a press release I did a few months ago~~I copied then pasted the article into wordpress~~I think that's why it's messing up so badly~~I'm going to delete it and rewrite in word then copy & paste into wordpress~~I'm hoping that will help~~on my other website for celiac disease I didn't have any problems inserting images so I'm really thinking that's what the reason is~~thank you so much for help! I truly appreciate it

Ok, if you need any more help then just let me know!

That was definitely the problem! Could you please check out my 1st two posts when you get a chance and let me know what you think? I'm so glad that I figured out that I can't copy and paste from my press releases and edit them in wordpress~~what a sigh of relief!! Thank you thank you thank you for your help! http://howiquitmyboss.siterubix.com/

There you go! Looks a lot better! Keep working it!

Thank you!! I really appreciate all of your help :)

You are welcome. Glad to be able to!

Have you tried publish them and then check it? Sometimes the preview can mess up. Otherwise if it still happens you will have to make sure the whole URL and all its content is deleted. It may be the content is conflicting with each other. Just make sure its properly deleted.

thank you NickWild

First of all what is going wrong. Perhaps give us a link to your post or website, so we, I, can take a look.

Ok, for the moment there are no images in your post.
Insert the image ( size 300 px) in the text you want to place it. If you want the image on the left side and the text wrapped around, set the align image to the left ( or to the right as you wish, even if images are better on the left side).
Update, view your page in another tab, perhaps make sure to delete the cache of your browser, because you may sometimes see thenold version of your post.

I'm working on a new website and I need some help on how to cloak an affiliate link in a post that I'm writing for my website~~if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appr

I usually highlight the word and click the link icon and add the url. I don't use any plugins for that.

My blog post here will explain everything for you

Barry

Thank you Barry~~I'm really having a bad day or something~~I'm usually pretty good at this stuff

It really depends on how you want to cloak your affiliate link.

If you want to insert an affiliate link to every instance of "healthy dog food" in your blog post for instance, then the free version of Pretty Link plugin can do the job.

But if you want to have more control on where the affiliate link should be inserted then you'll have to use the paid version of the plugin.

The thing is, if you host your website at WA you won't able to use the plugin as it needs to communicate with its host server to authenticate your license key. WA web host does not allow such communication.

But there's a solution to the problem and it's free. Use the Thirsty Affiliate plugin. It's similar to the paid Pretty Link plugin without the price tag. I use it myself here at WA and it works wonderfully.

Hope this helps.

Thank you cappuccino

it looks like you have got the help you needed all the best

thank you Maxiam59

use the Pretty Link Plugin that Kyle uses in the training.

Thank you so much Jaweda2k I appreciate the fast response!
