I am getting notifications that people have left messages on my profile page but they are not there when I go to look. The last message was 4 days ago.

Apparently since

If it has only happened once or twice, it may be (just a suggestion) that people that have left comments on your profile here at WA deleted them before you got there. But if it has happened three or more times, that would be very unlikely.

Thanks. I never had this happen before and now it is happening repeatedly so I think it is a glitch in the system.

Yes, if it is happening repeatedly, it is a glitch in the system.:)

I can't see new messages on my wa profile page, can it be fixed?

seositecheckup.com says my site does not have CSS files "minified". Is this the same as minimized? It says I should use an "online CSS minifier like YUI Compressor or cssmin.js

Thanks Shawn! I will check those out. I was afraid this was something that will slow down my page load speed.

Can anyone tell me how to recover the menu options from the Wordpress Customize menu? Those on the bottom including the option to edit font have just disappeared. I tried loadi

always clear cache and cookies reload pages

There should be a tab on it that will open the kitchen sink, which is the box above the posts or page edit box, does this help?

I am not sure what you mean. Are you saying there should be this option on the Customize menu? I don't see anything there.

I might have misunderstood you. Are you looking for the customize options that show up when you are trying to customize a theme?

I am using the Appearance, Customize menu to change fonts etc. on my site.

OK, now I understand. There should be an arrow on the left lower column area that collapses these features into the left vertical border. Look really close for the arrow, click it and the options will reappear

No, I tried that. The whole menu was not collapsed, just some of the options missing from it. I tried collapsing it and opening it again anyway but it didn't help. I heard from Marion Black on here that I should use a child theme if I change fonts in the future to avoid this sort of problem. I might have to just delete the whole site and start over. Luckily I don't have any content yet!

Marion suggested activating a different theme, then deleting the current theme, adding it back and activating it. I will try that first.

Hmmm, OK, that is a new one on me. I know some themes offer some options that others do not offer. Could that be it?

No, this all occurred in the same theme. The options that were there, disappeared.

Sorry I could not help :(

That's ok. Thank you for trying.

One last attempt, did you contact the tech crew here at WA? Send in a ticket on it?

No, how do I do that?

Go here and make out a ticket https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Thanks Shawn. I am still not sure if I have not fixed it yet or if I really was confused after all and thinking I was on a different theme as I was checking so many out at once!!

Hi everyone,

I am trying to decide on a siterubix website name. I intend to upgrade to Premium and convert my site so I am wondering if it would be smart to pick the cur

no

I agree with judebanks. I think you should come up with a few names because who knows at the time you’re dealing with your siterubix, someone could purchase the .net or .org

Siterubix does not have to match the future domain name. It can be the same or you can change it when you buy the new domain.

.com is better because that's what most people are used to.

If you love the name and it is available only as .net or org, it is fine to go with that. Bear in mind that people don't remember the extension and there will always be a risk that initially, until they get to know your site, they might have a tendency go to the dot com address first. ~Jude

Thank you Jude. I understand that the siterubix name does not have to match the future domain name but I wondered if there is any reason it would be better?

From a search engine point of view, they are pretty much equal these days because ranking has nothing to do with top level domain (TLD) extensions.

A point to understand is that anyone who sees your siterubix domain name and takes a fancy to it, can buy the name out from under you at any time from a domain registrar.

Free website names are sub domains and are never registered. That's not a WA thing - it is the way all free websites work on the web.

That's why it is recommended to have your owned domain. No one else can legally use it.

My suggestion is not to make public your preferred owned domain name until you buy and register it. ~Jude

Ok, that makes more sense to me now. Thank you.

Thank you for the explanation.
