Wow! Straight to #1 on Google and Yahoo!
Wow! I went to check where my brand new post was ranked and it was #1 on Google! It is also #1 on Yahoo! How amazingly cool is that! That just shows how great the training is here at WA! My post went straight to the top at #1!
Now to be fair, my title is not a popular keyword phrase so there isn't much compitition. However, my title is 6 words long and it contains much more popular keywords such as "Norwegian Forest Cat". If I take the first word off my title and search again in Jaaxy, I see that I am #1 on Bing as well! Yayyyyyy! I tried other variations and came in at #2 and more positions in the top 10! If I dind't follow good SEO principles taught here I might not be in the top 10 and certainly would not be in the #1 spot even with a low competition keyword.
My featured snippet is still in place on Bing for a previous post as well!
This certainly helps take the sting out of my poor sales and staying home sick from work today!
Follow the training if you want to rank well instantly on your posts. Don't forget the seemingly simple steps of adding Alt text, Title etc. to images, adding a description for your post, adding tags, choosing great keywords, internal linking and of course always write high quality content.

Your new strategy of more content seems to be working already Jessica. thanks for sharing some motivation. Just a thought Google rolled our an update starting around the start of the month, traffic can be down.

Thanks Alex. I had pretty good sales right at the beginning of August but the last two weeks have been bad. Hopefully I can do fine if I just keep at it!
